All four brakes wore out pads and damaged the drums in under 1360 miles. The trailer frame shop where I had new brakes installed (Smiley's Pro Services, 920 W Pearl Jensen Way, LA Conner WA 98287-4720. Ph # 360-466-3629. Invoice #74287) said they had seen this happen to two other trailers in the previous month. The replaement brakes were installed in November 2021. The brakes that failed are DEXTER "NEV-R-ADJUST." PART#4376973, SR#612563828 and SR#61256382? Trailer is a 2021 Keystone Alpine Model 3220RL Fifth Wheel. I have the brakes that failed.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Alpine, Avalanche, 2020-2023 Fuzion and Impact travel trailers. The hydraulic leveling leg foot pads may become loose and separate from the vehicle.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A foot pad that separates during transit can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the mounting bolt and reinstall with thread locking adhesive, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2022. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 22-437.
