TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 KAWASAKI VOYAGER VN1700A9FA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH HE RECEIVED SECOND DEGREE BURNS ON BOTH LEGS FROM THE EXHAUST PIPES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WAS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IT PRODUCED EXCESS HEAT WHEN ITS IN MOTION. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE INFORMED ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND S…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 KAWASAKI VOYAGER VN1700A9FA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH HE RECEIVED SECOND DEGREE BURNS ON BOTH LEGS FROM THE EXHAUST PIPES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WAS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IT PRODUCED EXCESS HEAT WHEN ITS IN MOTION. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE INFORMED ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO HEAT PROBLEM. WHEN THE 2010 MODELS WERE MANUFACTURED THEY STATED THAT THEY FIXED THE HEAT PROBLEM. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS REPAIRED WITH A HEAT SHIELD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7500. UPDATED 01/21/11 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE FUEL GAUGE WAS INACCURATE, THE KICK STAND WAS TOO LOW, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN AFTER THE THROTTLE WAS RELEASED, THE ENGINE WOULD GET EXTREMELY HOT.
