MY WIFE BOUGHT A 2009 KAWASAKI EN500 VALCAN MOTORCYCLE NEW IN SEPT OF 2008. SINCE THEN SHE HAS RODE OVER 15,300 MILES AND THE BIKE HAS QUIT RUNNING SIX TIMES WHILE SHE WAS RIDING IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN HEAVY INTERSTATE TRAFFIC AND ON BACK ROADS AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 45 TO 70 MPH. THE BIKE WILL RESTART AFTER WE TURN THE FUEL VALVE TO RESERVE AND OPEN THE GAS CAP. IT IS NOT READY TO GO ON RESERVE AND HAVE TRAVELED ANYWHERE FROM 20 TO 80 MILES SINCE WE FILLED UP. WE HAVE HAD IT CHECKED BY A DEALER UNDER WARRANTY AND BY ANOTHER SHOP. THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH THE BIKE. I FEEL KAWASAKI SHOULD RECALL THIS AS IT IS A SERIOUS HAZARD. MY WIFE'S SISTER HAS A 2008 AND A FRIEND IN OUR M/C CLUB ALSO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS 2008. *TR
