2023 Jeep Wagoneer

I purchased my 2023 Jeep Wagoneer new in March 2023. The vehicle has experienced multiple electrical/electronic safety-related failures. Beginning around Oct. 2024, the digital instrument cluster intermittently failed to load after startup, leaving me without critical information including vehicle speed and fuel level. I photographed this occurring numerous times and repeatedly reported it to the dealer. The cluster was eventually replaced in April 2026. The vehicle has also unexpectedly shut off more than once while slowing or coming to a stop at a stop sign or traffic light. In July 2026, the entire right-front exterior lighting system failed. The right headlight, daytime/running light, front turn signal and cornering light are all inoperative while the left side operates normally. The dealer replaced the complete right headlamp assembly in Aug. 2026, but this did not correct the problem. All right-front lighting remains inoperative. The odometer is also continuously flashing. The dealer has not determined the cause and says further diagnosis and Stellantis STAR technical assistance are required. As of Sept. 2026, the lighting failure has persisted for more than a month despite a repair attempt. I am concerned about the safety risks from loss of required exterior lighting/turn-signal function, prior loss of instrument-cluster information, and unexpected vehicle shutoffs. I do not know whether these conditions share the same underlying cause.

During the first visit, the dealer stated the issue was with the trailers; however, the contact paid for independent inspections that confirmed both trailers were in proper working order. During the second visit, the dealer performed a software update, but the failure persisted. During the third visit, the dealer diagnosed the issue as a known manufacturer software defect with no current resolution available. The vehicle was not repaired, due to no other options of repair besides a recall. The manufacturer has been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,335.

I paid to have both inspected, and both were confirmed to be in proper working order. 2.Second Visit: I was informed that a software issue had been identified and corrected through an update. The issue persisted immediately afterward. 3.Third Visit: I was recently told that Jeep is now aware of this as a known vehicle software defect and that there is currently no resolution available. This situation is unacceptable. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation that it would safely perform its advertised towing functions. Instead, I am left with a vehicle that cannot legally or safely tow — the very purpose for which it was purchased.
