I had a service airbag, service parking brake and the seatbelt light starts flashing. It happens every time I drive the vehicle and I had it looked at by a mechanic and they see no issue with the sensors. They told me to check for any recalls and I don’t see any here.

I had a service airbag warning go off days prior which was then followed by my parking brake warning and a constant seatbelt warning chime that happened concurrently. The vehicle had these issues cleared by my mechanic but hasn't been able to be resolved. From what i understand, the seatbelt sensor is faulty and should I have an accident in the near future the airbags will not deploy.

I bought my jeep at the end of 2016. Within a year the back seat passenger side seatbelt would not latch. Now I’m 2022 the middle seatbelt also won’t latch. I have a five year old. I discovered this when attempting to move her to a booster seat. There is only one working seatbelt in the back. After reading forums this is a common problem with the limited jeep renegade. Children are at risk.
My seat warning light comes on. Took it to Dutch Miller Jeep in south Charleston, WV. I was informed that the seat built switch was defective. After checking the internet it seems this is a common occurrence on Jeep vehicles. This is expensive to repair and is a safety hazard per the repair technician.

MY 2016 JEEP RENEGADE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT OCTOBER 4TH, VEHICLE TOTALED BUT NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED EVEN THOUGH THE RENEGADE WAS ON AND THERE WAS A PASSENGER (BUCKLED IN) IN THE VEHICLE. HAD FCA RUN THEIR 'INVESTIGATION' THOUGH THEY WILL NOT SHARE THE RESULTS OF WHICH WITH ME EVEN THOUGH I'VE ASKED. THEIR RESPONSE 'YOUR REQUEST FOR OUR INSPECTION REPORT IS PROPRIETARY, PAID FOR BY US, BELONGS TO US, AND THEREFORE, UNAVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH OUR HANDLING, YOU CERTAINLY HAVE THE RIGHT TO HIRE YOUR OWNER INSPECTOR, AT YOUR EXPENSE, TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE . WE HAVE CLOSED THE FILE REGARDING THIS MATTER.' BOTH MY INSURANCE ADJUSTER AND BODY SHOP (WHO ASKED FOR THE INVESTIGATION) STATED THAT BASED ON THE IMPACT (CRUSHED REAR AND DRIVER SIDE) SHOULD HAVE SET OFF THE AIRBAGS THOUGH THEY DIDN'T AND THE PASSENGER WAS INJURED, WHY WON'T THEY SHARE THE REPORT?
SEATBELT CONNECTOR AND SENSOR ISSUES. INTERMITTENTLY SEATBELT, AIRBAG AND PARKING BRAKE SENOR KEEPS GOING OFF AND WILL NOT STOP WHILE DRIVING. I FEEL UNSAFE TO DRIVE MY CAR WHILE ALL THESE SENOR ARE GOING OFF. I FEAR THE SEATBELT, AIR BAG AND PARKING BAKE WILL MALFUNCTION WHILE I'M DRIVING. *TR
INTERMITTENT CHECK PARKING BREAK, CHECK AIR BAG WARNING KEEPS COMING ON. ALSO WILL NOT RECOGNIZE WHEN DRIVER SEAT BELT IS ENGAGED. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND AT LEAST ONE OF THE THREE WARNINGS WILL STAY ON WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTIONS.

I AM REPORTING A POSSIBLE SAFETY PROBLEM THAT HAS DEVELOPED OVER RECENT MONTHS WITH MY 2016 JEEP RENEGADE TRAILHAWK 4X4. THE VEHICLE HAS A RECURRING MALFUNCTION WITH THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT ELECTRICAL WIRING ASSEMBLY. THE PROBLEM OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AFTER THE SEATBELT IS PROPERLY SECURED AND THERE IS NORMAL BODY MOVEMENT IN THE DRIVER SEAT WHILE THE VEHICLE IS EITHER IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. THE PROBLEM SO FAR AFFECTS SEVERAL OF THE ELECTRONIC SUBSYSTEMS CONNECTED TO THE VEHICLE'S DRIVER SEAT. THIS MALFUNCTION HAS CAUSED TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABLING OF THE DRIVER SEAT POWER CONTROLS, AIRBAG SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM AND SEATBELT WARNING SYSTEM.
DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WILL NOT BUCKLE. THE MECHANISM MALFUNCTIONED AND YOU CAN'T INSERT THE BUCKLE INTO THE LOCK. THERE IS NO SEAT BELT ALERT SOUND EITHER BECAUSE OF THIS MALFUNCTION.

Official recalls
116V545000 · Trailer Hitches
Jul 20, 2016
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Jeep Renegade vehicles manufactured August 25, 2014, to June 25, 2016, equipped with a factory-installed optional trailer hitch package. The trailer hitch assembly may have been attached with only a single fastener per side, not three per side as required.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Without the proper amount of fasteners, the trailer hitch assembly may separate from the vehicle, and any towed vehicle may no longer be properly connected, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install two additional fasteners per side, free of charge. The recall began on October 13, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S62.
