During a standard service, the servicing dealership (Lester Glenn Jeep, Tom’s River,NJ) failed to perform the mandatory factory electronic scan bleed required for the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) and ABS/ESC modules. This critical omission left unpurged fluid and internal system aeration trapped deep inside the electronic braking components, severely compromising the vehicle's stopping integrity and creating an immediate safety hazard. The safety omission was caught and documented via a secondary diagnostic scan by another authorized Jeep servicing facility (Pine Belt Jeep, Lakewood,NJ ), which had to perform the corrective electronic scan bleed to restore proper braking functionality and make the vehicle safe for public roads.

The vehicle has now experienced two complete electronic system failures while driving at approximately 45 miles per hour. During both events, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, and I lost power steering and brake assist. The engine remained running during the failure, but vehicle control systems were disabled. The first repair was documented as a disconnected electrical component, but the same full failure has occurred again. I consider this a serious safety defect, and I do not feel safe operating the vehicle

While driving down the road on the highway, the hood randomly popped open, engaging the emergency breaking system extremely harshly. Then the vehicle was unable to shift back into gear. Reported problem to dealer and no codes shown for the incident. Jeep (FCA/Stelantis) potentially had the system like Volkswagen when it knows it took it up to the diagnostic system to not show codes were an injury or something serious could’ve happened. Warning indicator lights, and all kinds of indicators were going off in the vehicle at the time of incident, but not the very next day from the dealership plugged it into the system.

On 2 ocassions the vehicle failed to execute a stop. The first was going down a mild hill at 20 mpg; I applied the brakes and the car started to slow and then the brakes felt like there was a shudder and released, and then engaged again and the car finally did stop. That same day on flat ground the same thing repeated. A second brake problem has occurred multiple times; likely 50 - 60 times. When braking and the car downshifts, the vehicle surges forward before slowing again, esp from 4th down to 3rd, of 3rd down to 2nd gear and 2nd to 1st. I have taken this to Reed Jeep in my hometown of Kansas City and not problem was identified. The car has been driven by others who also felt the same. These issues can put others at risk because they have occured when others are driving and they could injure a pedstrian or cause an MVA when the car does not stop. I have ceased driving the vehicle because of this and the battery fire concern and the engine failure from sand concern.

I just recently purchased my vehicle through Mears Mazda locally in Lubbock, TX. At first i did not notice how unsafe it drove due to the recalls. The more i drive the vehicle i notice it feels like there is a resistance in braking or slowing down and getting stuck in certain gears when i am going at a lower speed below 20 mph. It causes concern for me if i am driving in a bigger city or in a traffic jam as this could possibly cause a major accident if a malfunction occurs with the vehicle causing me to cause a multiple vehicle collision on a highway or street. I did ask the dealership prior to signing " Are there any issues known with this model type of Jeep or recalls?" They simply stated no. I have told them that since i had just recently signed my paperwork Friday and trading in my prior vehicle would it be possible to reverse everything, he stated no. I do not know the laws in Texas or if there is an alternate route i can go about this due to it being a safety issue. When I've contacted Jeep there is yet a remedy to fix this issue.

Once clear and removed foot from brake and attempted to accelerate into left hand turn vehicle accelerated approximately a 2-4 feet while in drive, auto park and emergency brakes abruptly engaged. Disabling the vehicle from movement, and locking gear knob from movement. Removed emergency brake and attempted to return car in drive with foot applied to brake, gear knob was still locked and would not engage. Turned off car and turned back on and gear engaged as normal. All of this took place while in oncoming traffic lane. Thankfully the oncoming traffic stopped and waited for me to move my vehicle. This could have been a critical accident. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brakes Locked up/auto parking brake engaged, yes available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Yes, thankfully oncoming traffic stopped. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Awaiting appointment date. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Awaiting appointment date. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, I was in a state of panic and could only remember seeing something about the parking brake engagement.

Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. An improperly machined steering knuckle may separate between the ball joint and knuckle, causing the wheel to fall outward and resulting in a loss of control.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the steering knuckle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 11, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 07B.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.
