Vehicle lost power on multiple occasions where it could not be operated or jump started to get moving. The operator has to switch the headlights to a manual mode and then may activate the bright lights. The vehicle is not equipped with auto high beams. Vehicle was return to dealer service department. Dealer Contacted Chrysler / Jeep and said this is normal and no fix is available. This is the exact same issue that was presented to NHTSA with the 2021 Jeep Cherokee L and a safety recall was issued to due it violating standards. The high beams do not work when the lights are in the "Auto" position. When the lever is pushed forward to manually turn on the high beams, nothing happens but when it is pulled back the high beams will come on so long as it is being held back. The high beams will only work correctly when the lights are in the "ON" position. I have had this Jeep at the dealership three times and they cannot diagnose the problem or find any error codes. This appears to be a problem with many 2023/2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee's according to online comments and this also appears to be a similar issue as the recall which was issued in 2021 for that model of Jeep Grand Cherokee (21V-797 / Y66 Recall - These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment).

I am having the same head light issue they had a recall for the 2021 Grand Cherokee Recall #21V797000. I keep my headlights in the auto position the only wat to turn the high beams is to reach around the steering wheel and put the light switch in the manual mode. Please help

When Vehicle is operated with the head lights in auto mode the operator is unable to activate the High Beam head lights with the paddle. The operator has to switch the headlights to a manual mode and then may activate the bright lights. The vehicle is not equipped with auto high beams. Vehicle was return to dealer service department. Dealer said it should work but no error codes are presented. Dealer Contacted Chrysler / Jeep and said this is normal and no fix is available. Service Tech stated he can see multiple complaints of this in the service tech system. Just purchased a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude - vehicle is not equipped with automatic high beams. When the master lighting switch is set to the auto position, the high beam headlights will not activate unless the master lighting switch is first changed to the 'on" position. In 2021 there was a recall for this issue on Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo's based on these vehicles failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V797000. It is unsafe to be moving the light switch from auto to manual in order to turn the high beams on. This will cause issues not having the lights set on auto as it can be forgotten to turn the headlights back on Auto so you aren't driving with the headlights off. Dealer explained this is how it works. There is obviously an ongoing problem being that there has been a recall issued previously for this exact problem.

Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Consequence: A missing gear selection indicator may lead to unintended vehicle movement or a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C.
