These vehicles need to be taken off the road and Stellantis needs to buy them back. 4 recalls all related to fires and/or failure of propulsion at speed that can cause accidents. Now I have 2 more open recalls, one for battery fire risk and another for the gasoline engine fire risk. Both the battery and gas engine systems on this vehicle are not safe enough to drive but there is no available fix for either. If the vehicles are unsafe enough to warrant these safety recalls with no fix then they should not be on the roads and those of us that are stuck with them should have relief from the manufacturer to get rid of them.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed on the Mobile App, that the battery was charging every 3–5 hours. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had started immediately after a service appointment with the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that parts were not available to repair the vehicle. In addition, the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed, but because the parts were not available, the vehicle could not be repaired. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V766000 (Engine); however, parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, there was an abnormally strong burning odor coming from the vehicle after driving. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V576000 (Electrical System), 25V741000 (Electrical System), and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to perform the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,417.
Vehicle had recall done for “loss of propulsion” and module replaced. Had vehicle back for 2 days and while driving 55mph, it shut itself off abruptly. Had to find an emergency place to coast to. The display says “service charging system”.
This Jeep does not get the fuel milage it is suppose too (19 city and 26 hwy). It has a rough idle and almost dies when air condition is on at a stop sign or red light. The valves chatter no matter what octane of gasoline you use.

I was driving with my three children in the car (including a newborn) on Monday, September 15th and was in the drive thru at the bank when my Jeep just froze. I luckily had placed it in park but it would neither turn on nor turn off - it was locked and I couldn't do anything to it. Right before it died it said "service hybrid system" and while it was in the weird not on but not off state, the battery icon was illuminated - even though the car was on. I called Stellantis for a tow because I was stuck - however they told me if they couldn't get it into neutral they couldn't tow it. After about 45 minutes the Jeep finally allowed me to turn it off and turn it back on, but I was terrified driving it home. My husband took it to Findlay Jeep in Post Falls on Wednesday, September 17th to see what the error code was and they said something about a cooling system error for the hybrid electrical system. We are taking it to Dishman Dodge on Monday September 22nd because that is the dealership we purchased from and they didn't have a technician who knew how to work on the hybrid system until then. I am also concerned about the current active recall for the propulsion system that has no current fix. I use this vehicle to carry my children around and now there are multiple safety concerns that can have lead to a fatal accident. I have filed a buyback request from Jeep because we have this vehicle on a lease - FCA Case #94280851.
Sudden loss of power steering. After starting car, Codes came up immediately for backup sensor needing service, then loss of power steering needing service, check engine light and flashing mileage on dashboard. Currently at dealership waiting for assessment.

Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. When the master headlight switch is set to the AUTO position, the driver may be unable to quickly activate the high beams. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: High beam headlights that do not activate as intended can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. An improperly machined steering knuckle may separate between the ball joint and knuckle, causing the wheel to fall outward and resulting in a loss of control.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the steering knuckle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 11, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 07B.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.
