I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I purchased July 19, 2024.I started having operational problems with the vehicle within two months. The car was in and out of the dealership five times through Nov. 2025. Each time the problem was verified by the service department and documented as such, including an incident of the engine shutting down when entering the expressway. I filed a lemon law claim September 2025, and settled December 2025. However, no reimbursement has been received. On Feb. 15, 2026, my car shut down completely as I was exiting a belt driven car wash, resulting in crashes of two vehicles in back of me. I had no control of shifting gears to move forward.

This creates an ongoing safety concern because normal charging and garaging cannot be performed safely, altering how and where the vehicle can be operated and stored. After speaking with my homeowners insurance, if the home were to catch fire through this vehicle, the claim would be denied because there is an active recall stating not to charge the vehicle. • Reproduction/Confirmation: The condition has been confirmed by the manufacturer through the official recall notice. The dealer has not attempted a repair because no remedy is currently available. Despite visiting the dealer, the dealer still states not to charge the car in the house. • Inspections by Others: The vehicle has not required inspection by police or insurance representatives. The issue is acknowledged by the manufacturer as part of the recall, and no repair procedure has been released to dealers. • Warning Lamps/Symptoms: There were no specific warning lamps prior to receiving the recall notice. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.
