Bought my new 2024 Jeep in July 2024 and went to work this morning and came out 8 1/2 hours later to a dead car and the after a jump the engine malfunction light was on called to make an appt to get my car in to see what’s going on. I have noticed that I have been having problems using the car starter sometimes it won’t start and my seat and steering wheel warmers are programmed to come on at all starts and if the temp outside is 40 and above they do not come on. When starting the vehicle it starts very heavy and loud.

Car consistently will not start after sitting for more than 2 days. Cannot be immeaditly jump started. Talke to dealer and was told that is an ongoing issue with all Gran Cherokee's. A check of their car lot shows most cars needed to be jump started to show clients. They also told be they just had a service meeting discussiong issues with cars and JD power surveys. It was agrred by the sales force the batteries were not powerful enough for the carsa. Stallantis rep said they never heard of this before

The key fob does not alway work. It is like the system in the vehicle “times out” and when the buttons are pressed in the key fob nothing unlocks, tailgate doesn’t open, or remote start doesn’t work. The door handle has to be touched for passive entry to “wake up” the key fob. Also, sometimes the vehicle says “key fob not detected” when in the vehicle to start it. At 6 months old the fob batteries had to be replaced. I have brought this up to my dealer and they said Stellantis is aware of the issue and are expecting a fix in the first half of 2025. There are many Jeep Grand Cherokee that are being built to this day with this issue. [XXX] Here is a link to a thread on a jeep forum. Speedometer does not function. We have no idea how fast or slow we are going at any given time. It shows random speeds. Fearful we could cause an accident by unknowingly driving too fast or too slow. The speedometer display indicates we are going 40+ mph while we are sitting absolutely still at stop lights & that we are traveling at a variety of speeds including 0 mph while keeping up with traffic on the interstate. Tachometer does not function. The rpm gauge fluctuates wildly while idling and while the vehicle is in motion. Gear Display does not function. We have no way of knowing what gear the vehicle is in or if it will remain stationary, move forward or backwards. Driving this vehicle or simply having the engine on, could very easily cause death or serious injury. Air bags & warning display do not function. The red alert on the instrument panel is constantly lit up indicating that the airbags will not function in the case of an accident. Engine gear display does not function. Display will randomly indicate vehicle is in reverse while we are very clearly driving forward. We have no way of knowing if the vehicle will suddenly change gears a result. Engine randomly turns off while in motion. The engine began randomly turning off while we were driving even after we picked it up from the dealership following the first attempt at repairs. There is absolutely no warning when it happens. We have no way of knowing when, where or at what speed the vehicle will be moving when the engine shuts off. This affects all steering, braking and electrical warning functions. Transmission overheating. Gives multiple alerts indicating that the transmission was running at too high a temperature and needed immediate service by the dealer. We have no way of knowing if the transmission will catch on fire. New Vehicle purchased 5/2. Malfunctioned immediately +returned for service 5/8. NO repair has been successful. Vehicle cannot be driven safely

Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025.
