I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE and have owned it for about 11 months. I bought it new. For the first 7 or 8 months, no problems at all. I've taken it to two Jeep dealers for service, and neither could replicate the problem. It's not showing any fault codes when they diagnose. One dealer said they updated the software and should have fixed the issue. It hasn't. I am afraid to drive this vehicle and will never let my wife drive it. I've searched online and see others have had the exact same issues. I need to get this vehicle repaired by Stellantis/Jeep otherwise I'll be forced to return it.

INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM FAILURE While driving and using navigation the system aborts,the screen either blanks out or message "system loading". The radio freezes as well or plays music from a different radio station that driver has chosen. This causes driver to take eyes off from road - which is a safety issue while in traffic. The manufacturer contends that this does not pose a safety related situation. We disagree as have had a near accident as result of system aborting while using navigation and not knowing route when this happens.....we try to reboot system by pushing different buttons which takes our eyes from traffic and road conditions. There have been 8 repair attempts and now manufacturer claims a fix may be out in late September. NHTSA literature states this condition is "Distracted Driving"---we completely agree... The manufacturer has been working on this issue for 12 months now and says may be another 3 months or maybe longer. This condition is unsafe and we believe a factory mandated recall should be released.

Emergency electric brake system has set up a number of times on its own always when it was parked. I was towing the car behind a motorhome ,it is 2024 grand Cherokee Jeep Summit with approximately 6600 miles on it ,the electric emergency break system set up going down the road at 50 mile an hour behind the motorhome. The motorhome has 650 hp engine. I didn’t even feel the brakes set up on the car. I saw a lot of smoke behind the motorhome . I pulled over and it turned out the electric brake set and I couldn’t get it to release. I called the dealer where I bought it to see if they could tell me how to release it. They referred me to jeep, I thought sure that they’d have someone but they referred me to a jeep dealer in Santa Fe, New Mexico The dealership had a tow co haul it to the dealership and told me tow ins were 3 to 4 weeks out before they could get in and look at them . After a month and they had not looked at it I had it hauled to Mike Shaw Jeep where I bought it. My concern is that had I been driving that car on interstate highways in Colorado 75 mph or states where it’s 85 miles an hour and the brake set up I’m going to be in the ditch or in the front of another vehicle killing my self and family or someone else family. This Jeep needs to be taken off the road before someone is Killed. I refuse to drive it.or let a family member drive it.have had no satisfaction from Jeep dealers. I had to have a car to drive so I had to spend another $60,000 for a car..

This car is a hybrid, plug in electric. I find this to be extremely dangerous and will take it back to the dealer once again. I have had many other issues with the car and none have been resolved. This one to be is the most worrisome.

First, this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4XE is a disaster! It has broken down 4 times so far. And it has been towed to the dealership 3 times. I have talked to others who have or had this vehicle with many of the same issues. They hate the car, including m,e, and cannot wait or have gotten rid of the car. Lemon law is my next step. I was traveling on a highway at 65MPH in Hybrid mode. The car displayed a Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message along with several other system failure messages in rapid succession. The battery failure icon was also on. The car lost all power and started slowing down. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to reach a point to where I was able to move to a spot on the roadside. I stopped the car and it automatically went into park and would not move out of park. After several tries I was able to start the vehicle in esave mode and it was running on the ICE. All of the errors cleared. I was able to proceed to a side road and eventually make it home. I took it to my local dealer the next day and a read of the code was a B273C indicating digital crash detection. The service manager said this is a known problem and they are waiting for a fix. Reference Star Publication S2408000063 Rev. C In most cases only the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message comes on for a few second and goes away. This has occurred on my vehicle multiple times with no side effects. One other time the car went into Turtle mode, which cleared after a restart. It was in town so was not an issue to pull over. This time the loss of power could have been catastrophic if traffic was heavy while traveling on a busy highway at high speeds.

Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A missing gear selection indicator may lead to unintended vehicle movement or a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. An improperly machined steering knuckle may separate between the ball joint and knuckle, causing the wheel to fall outward and resulting in a loss of control.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.
