KITCHEN SLIDE OUT WAS DRAGGING FLOOR AND I...ME.. HAD TO TRIM 1/2 INCH OFF BOTTOM OF CABINETS. FENDER SKIRTS BOTH BLEW OFF AND HAD TO BE REPLACED BY ME $120. THIS TRAILER IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN USED LESS THAN A DOZEN TIMES WITH SOME MAJOR REPAIR EVERY OUTING. VEHICLE WITH APPROX 4000 MILES SINCE NEW SUFFERED A BLOW OUT ON DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE WHILE IN MOTION, TRAVELING STRAIGHT AHEAD. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A HEAVILY TRAVELED HIGHWAY DURING HEAVY HOLIDAY TRAFFIC. THIS ALMOST NEW TRAVEL TRAILER WAS DELIVERED WITH PROVIDER ST205 75R14 TIRES "MADE IN CHINA." THIS LOW MILEAGE TIRE FAILURE OCCURRED IN HEAVY, TRAFFIC AFTER DARK AND EXPOSED THE OCCUPANTS OF THE TOW VEHICLE AND OTHER VEHICLES TO EXTREME DANGER, POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE TOW VEHICLE OCCUPANTS WERE FORCED TO EXIT AND AWAIT ASSISTANCE AFTER DARK, LATE AT NIGHT IN A VERY DANGEROUS AREA. THESE TIRES CARRY A C LOAD RATING WHICH IS INADEQUATE FOR AN APPROXIMATELY 6,000 POUND TRAILER AND JAYCO SHOULD BE NOTIFIED OF THE RISK INCURRED WITH TRAILERS DELIVERED WITH THESE POOR QUALITY CHINESE MANUFACTURED TIRES!

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

Jayco Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017 Jay Flight Bungalow, Hummingbird, White Hawk, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Feather 7, Jay Feather and Jay Flight fifth wheel recreational trailers. The LED ceiling lights may produce excessive heat.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The excessive heat from the LED ceiling lights may increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected LED ceiling lights with a different light, free of charge. The recall began on May 24, 2017. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for the recall is 9901349.

16V560000 · Electrical System: Integrated Trailer Brake Control

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Jay Feather, Jay Flight, Jay Flight SLX, Eagle, White Hawk, and Octane travel trailers manufactured January 5, 2016, to July 18, 2016, equipped with a Sway Command anti-sway system. When connected to certain tow vehicles that have an integrated brake controller, and after the anti-sway system has applied the trailer brakes in response to a sway event, the trailer brakes may no longer function to slow or stop the trailer.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A loss of trailer brakes may lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle and cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will remove the Sway Command system from the affected travel trailers, free of charge. The recall began on August 3, 2016. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901308.
