The contact owns a 2018 Jayco Flight SLX trailered to a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, it was discovered the exterior lights were not functioning as designed. The contact owns a 2018 Jayco Flight SLX trailered to a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, it was discovered the exterior lights were not functioning as designed. The trailer was diagnosed by a local mechanic that the wiring from the junction box of the front trailer was cut by a diamond plate, which caused the lights to be inoperable. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. A failure mileage was not available. Invalid VIN Wires going from junction box up front of trailer were pinched and cut by diamond plate on front. Cause all lights to be in op from no power going to any of the exterior light system safety issue.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
