I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the complete lack of support I have received from Jaguar Land Rover North America following a devastating incident involving my 2018 Jaguar F-PACE (VIN: [XXX]). In January 2024, while driving my vehicle, it suddenly caught fire. This fire was caused by an issue that was the subject of a recall. My vehicle was scheduled to be serviced for this very recall just days later, but it did not make it to the appointment because it was completely destroyed. The fire department responded to the scene, conducted an investigation, and filed an official report, which I am prepared to provide for your review. After the incident, I reached out to Jaguar Land Rover North America, expecting assistance in addressing a fire that was clearly caused by a known defect. Instead, I was met with outright dismissiveness and disrespect. Executive Judianne Di Leo, in particular, showed a complete lack of concern, scolding me for copying other JLR executives on emails, refusing to help, and failing to direct me to anyone who could. During multiple phone conversations, I explained the severity of the situation, including the fact that I have developed asthma, breathing issues, and severe anxiety attacks as a result of the explosion. She dismissed my concerns and even laughed at me during one call before telling me to "get a lawyer." INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

When starting the vehicle it’s very hesitant and has a rough start & idle. Even once the vehicle starts it continuously has a rough feel as if the vehicle is putting or about to cut off. 2. The vehicle constantly loses power and sometimes won’t start. The battery has been replaced and the wires have been tested. When driving the entire vehicle starts to intermittently lose power and everything flickers on and off the entire time. 3. When searching my vehicle information it indicates there’s no open recalls however according to Jaguar corporate office there is an open recall but it’s not displayed on any search because the nhtsa hasn’t notified them.

When I get in my car, put it in reverse after a short stop, the backup camera will freeze the image. The sensors will stop working, and the cross traffic detection will not work during this freeze. It lasts for about 30 seconds. Has not been confirmed by a dealer or service. No inspection done. No warning lamps or messages.

Vehicle will lose power intermittently while driving and sometimes when you try to start the vehicle it will be come dead. I’ve replaced the battery and the problem still occurs. A few nights in a row the alarm system would just beep for no reason . I changed the key fob battery and that didn’t help either. The engine makes a weird noise and constantly jerks.also the engine shakes extremely bad even though I’ve had a tune up, I’ve called Jaguar consumer services to find out about past recall details and was advised that information wasn’t available to them if the services were actually completed or just cleared out & I’d have to call the service center that completed the recall/repairs. It’s impossible to do so as I’m not the original owner. Jaguar advised they couldn’t help and this is very common for the power train in these vehicles to malfunction however the manufacturer isn’t being accountable. Also when I checked the recalls on NHTSA & Jaguar websites It indicated there’s no recalls, however when I called Jaguar consumer services I was advised of 2 recalls/campaigns that relate to the engine light. I’ve had a similar issue with a Range Rover that we checked for recalls and they were cleared from under the vin but the service wasn’t performed and when we experienced the issue we were charged on 2 occasions and once I discover the issue previously had a recall they refunded one of the issues, they’re all under the same umbrella and truly need to be investigated. I hope more people learn about reporting these issues to the nhtsa and other outlets instead of just reporting to Jaguar because they truly only want to get money out of the situation and don’t want to be accountable for the defects of there vehicles.

ADDITIONAL INFO FOR PRIOR SUBMISSION Link to forum where others share similar issue with their vehicles: [XXX] . Appears to be a growing issue. Jaguar has the part on out of stock status and requires U.S. dealers to order from the UK with no confirmed eta (told could take 5-6 weeks). As you can see in the picture I was given of the issue, I cannot drive this vehicle and Jaguar refuses to provide any support or contribution to remedy the issue. This includes not providing a replacement vehicle while my vehicle sits at the dealership. My standard driving conditions with this vehicle are city streets and general highway - no off-road conditions. Also no towing by the vehicle (it has never had a hitch installed). Please investigate how such an important component to maintain safe driving conditions is allowed to go unresolved, and ultimately be pushed on the consumer as their problem. Can’t imagine what would happen if and when one of these truly breaks while someone is driving. I was informed of the issue by the dealer after a multipoint inspection. My vehicle was one of three there at the same time with the same issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

For a few years there has been many repairs and complaints about the power steering in the Jaguar F Pace. I was driving home Friday in the rain when out of nowhere the power steering quit working and I almost wrecked in a turn. I looked at the fluid which is full and check to see any loose wires and see nothing. I tried to call Jaguar Customer service and they told me to reach out to the service department then call back if there is any issues. Right now I am down without a car and I don’t feel like I should be at fault and pay for a failed power steering system. In the turn the car said Power Steering Assistance Reduced. There are reports of the failed steering in thousands of their cars from the years of 2017 to 2020. Some say the box starts to designate and some say it allows water to get in and damages the electrical components. I know that the milage on my vehicle is 95,000 but highway driving doesn’t cause that to happen.

The Check Engine light hasn't worked on our Jaguar F Pace since we bought it despite taking it multiple times to multiple dealerships (due to moving to three different cities). We were told by each dealership that it wasn't a issue unless it was flashing. The final straw was in Feb 2024 we were driving on a busy road (A1A) at 55 miles per hour and the car started jerking, making loud noises and then stopped. We had to have it towed and find transportation home. Thank goodness my husband was driving because I'm not sure how I would have handled it. The Fields Jaguar Land Rover of Jacksonville says that we must pay $20,000 to repair the entire engine and Jaguar North America won't do anything to help. Please help us and make sure this issue doesn't happen to anyone else. Defective indicator light like this is a major safety issue.
