The front drivers side headlamp malfunctioned after condensation entered the lamp via rain and then humidity. The issue first started April 12, 2026. I was leaving to go on a 260 miles drive when I pulled out of the drive way and I started getting a flickering "Dipped Beam Fault". It started flickering on and off as I was picking up speed to merge onto the interstate. I drove all those miles with my left thumb on the Menu OK button to clear it. Then it would come back on again as I was going through two major cities. It was very distracting and I kept glancing down every time it would light up. It did this for 5 hours. Also, my signal light was malfunctioning but I always tried to use it even so because of the heavy traffic. I called Jaguar when I got home and the women on the line said she had never heard of anything like this before and to take it to the dealership. So I took it to Jaguar and they did a complete inspection and told me the entire light component would have to be replaced because the seal is not good-even though the car has less then 100,000 miles on it, no reported accidents, and I was not informed by the dealer it has this problem when I purchased a few months ago.

The contact owns a 2017 Jaguar F-PACE. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the contact became aware that the instrument cluster was not functioning as needed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V052000 (Electrical System), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 135,000.

This has happened to us 3 times where we would have between 17-25 miles left on gas in our car and the vehicle would completely shut down on us; once on the freeway and once on an extremely busy street. Once the car shuts down, we can turn it on in terms of lights, music etc. however the car will not come back on to drive. I’ve reported this to jaguar in San Francisco more than once and they keep saying it’s the gas. Our gas never reaches the red line.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling one 2017 Jaguar F-PACE vehicle equipped with a 3.0L engine. A bolt used to attach the high pressure fuel pump may be too long. As a result, the fuel pump may not be properly secured and the fuel line may crack and leak.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A fuel line crack may leak fuel into the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify the owner, and a dealer will replace both fuel pumps and the associated fuel lines, free of charge. The recall began September 12, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H039.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017 Jaguar F-PACE vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. These vehicles may have been built with a rear driveshaft that is too short, potentially resulting the driveshaft separating from the vehicle.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If the driveshaft detaches, a loss of drive power would result, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driveshafts, replacing any that are incorrect, free of charge. The recall began May 1, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H009.

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 2016 Blomquist Report at www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/documents/expert_report-hrblomquist.pdf.Consequently, all frontal inflators using propellant 2004 that do not contain a "desiccant" (a substance that traps and holds moisture) in US vehicles are under recall. All Takata inflators produced with propellant 2004L contain desiccant, and none of these desiccated inflators using propellant 2004L are under recall for a degradation concern. There have been no reported field ruptures in any non-recalled desiccated PSAN inflators.It is understood that desiccants fully saturate at some threshold, at which point any additional moisture will not be captured. Based on available information, desiccant saturation can occur within the first five years in the worst environments, and the time required for full saturation is affected by multiple factors. Further study is needed to assess the long-term safety of desiccated inflators using propellant 2004L.The Office of Defects Investigation is opening this investigation to examine whether a safety defect related to propellant degradation exists in non-recalled desiccated PSAN frontal inflators manufactured by Takata. This investigation will require extensive information on Takata production processes and surveys of inflators in the field. Lists of recall actions that may have used desiccated PSAN inflators as remedy parts, as well as the makes and models originally manufactured with them, is available with the downloadable version of this document (see nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaId=EA21002 -- note this information is subject to change/revision as the investigation proceeds).
