1ST EVENT. 1/3017. DRIVING S. I75, APPROX. 65MPH, FROM OCALA TO TAMPA LOST CRUISE CONTROL,THESE MESSAGES APPEARED ON INSTRUMENT DISPLAY:ABS VISIT WORKSHOP, ESP VISIT WORKSHOP AND A TIRE IMAGE VISIT WORKSHOP. TOOK NEXT EXIT AND REFERRED TO THE SPRINTER MANUAL. VERY CONCERNED AFTER READING WHAT WAS DEACTIVATED. CALLED M-B OF WESLEY CHAPEL AND WAS TOLD I COULD DRIVE TO THEIR SERVICE CENTER ABOUT 50 MILES AWAY, BUT TO DRIVE MODERATE SPEED, NO HARD BRAKING OR SHARP TURNS! NO NEED TO TOW. DIAGNOSED FAULTY LEFT REAR WHEEL SENSOR AND REPLACED. SERVICE MANAGE STATED WHEN WHEEL SENSORS USUALLY FAIL AROUND 30,000 MILES. MY MILAGE WAS 30264! 2ND EVENT. TWO DAYS LATER 2/1/17 SAME ERROR MESSAGES WHILE DRIVING ON US 17, ABOUT 45 MPH, NEAR WINTER HAVEN, FL. CALLED FIELDS MOTORCARS SPRINTER SERVICE, EXPLAINED MY PROBLEM, MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD BASICALLY THE SAME PRECAUTIONS THAT I RECEIVED FROM WESLEY CHAPEL. REPLACED RIGHT REAR WHEEL SENSOR ASKED SM IF IT WAS UNUSUAL FOR TWO TO FAIL WITHIN DAYS. HE STATED THAT MB WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH A CERTAIN BATCH OF WHEEL SENSORS, NOT TO WORRY THEY ARE UNDER WARRANTY. I TOLD HIM MY CONCERN WHILE DRIVING W/O ABS, ESP, ASR, BAS AND CRUISE CONTROL. HE SAID THERE WERE NO KNOWN ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY FAULTY WHEEL SENSORS.3RD EVENT. 2/6/17. ABS,ESP, AND TIRE SYMBOL LIGHTED UP AGAIN! THIS OCCURRED WHILE ON 301 IN DADE CITY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. FIELDS MOTORCARS REPLACES FRONT LEFT WHEEL SENSOR. I REQUESTED THE 4TH WHEEL SENSOR TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE I WAS SURE IT WAS GOING TO FAIL!! SM SAID NO WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM MB. I CALLED MB CORPORATE AND SPOKE TO ROSEMARY EXT 7823 AT 201-802-7823 AND SHE AUTHORIZED THE 4TH WHEEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT. 5TH EVENT! 10/18/18. WHILE IN LITTLE ROCK, AR HAD TO DRIVE TO MEMPHIS, TN VIA I40. 6TH EVENT. 3/29/19. I85, GREENVILLE, SC. 7TH EVENT 12/12/20. TORREYA SP, FL. HAVE NOT SCHEDULED SERVICE

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Winnebago Era, Travato, Minnie Winnie, Fuse, View, Trend, Aspect, Brave, Vista, Sightseer, Adventurer, Forza, Journey, Tour, Revel, Paseo, Chalet, Access, and Intent motorhomes and Commercial vehicles, and 2013-2018 Itasca Spirit, Navion, Cambria, Tribute, Sunstar, Sunova, Suncruiser, Solei, Meridian, Elipse, Horizon, Reyo, and Via motorhomes. These vehicles are equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' fire extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence & remedy

Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Winnebago will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for replacement or aftermarket fire extinguishers, free of charge. The recall began on January 19, 2018. Winnebago Industries, Inc (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Winnebago View, VIA, ERA, and Itasca Navion motorhomes. The affected vehicles have an Axxess radio volume control module that may interfere with the chassis electrical system.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The Axxess radio volume control module can affect electrical system functions, possibly causing an engine shutdown, power loss, illumination of malfunction indicator warning lights, and interfere with the restraint system. These scenarios can increase the risk of crash or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will remove the Axxess radio volume control module, free of charge. The recall began on May 23, 2017. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Winnebago Era, Travato, View, Trend, Via, Journey, and Tour motorhomes and Itasca Navion, Viva, Reyo, Meridian, and Elipse motorhomes manufactured June 26, 2012, to August 26, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the high pressure liquid propane (LP) hose may harden and result in an LP leak at the crimp fitting.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An LP leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will replace the LP hose, free of charge. The recall began on November 25, 2015. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2015 Winnebago ERA, View, and Itasca Navion vehicles manufactured September 11, 2014, to February 27, 2015 and built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis. In the affected vehicles, the abutting wedge, a component attached to the door jamb to make opening the door easier after a severe frontal impact, may have been installed incorrectly.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If a vehicle that has an incorrectly installed abutting wedge is involved in a severe frontal accident, a greater force may be necessary to open the doors, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Mercedes-Benz notify owners, and their dealers will check the installation of the abutting wedge, correcting it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began in March 2015. Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz Sprinter customer service at 1-877-762-8267.
