I PURCHASED A NEW 2002 ISUZU RODEO FROM FOX CHEVROLET ISUZU LOCATED AT 501 WASHINGTON BOULEVARD LAUREL, MARYLAND. IN 2004 THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED THEIR BUSINESS AND NAME TO FOX OF LAUREL BECAUSE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM THIS LOCATION I CONTINUED TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THEM FOR SERVICE. I QUESTIONED WHETHER THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE ,AND WAS ASSURED THAT THEY COULD CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO MY VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH THEY NO LONGER SOLD ISUZU CARS. ON JANUARY 23, 2007 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FOX OF LAUREL BECAUSE I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING FROM THE ENGINE, AND THE HEAT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE COST OF THE REPAIR WAS $872.71. I EXPERIENCED THE SAME HEAT PROBLEM AND RETURNED ON FEBRUARY 22, 2007 TO FOX OF LAUREL FOR REPAIRS AGAIN, THE PROBLEM WAS NOT REPAIRED, AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE ON MARCH 72007 . AT THIS TIME I WAS INFORMED AND GIVEN A COPY OF THE WARRANTY BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF FOX LAUREL THAT I NEED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN ISUZU DEALER BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED THE PROBLEM WAS COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN ISUZU DEALER , CASTLE ISUZU, AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A CRACKED HEAD ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY THE AMOUNT THAT I WAS CHARGED BY FOX OF LAUREL SHOULD BE REFUNDED. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE PRESIDENT OF FOX OF LALIN GALLART, WHO WILL NOT RESPOND OR RETURN MY CALLS. I BELIEVE I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OFF AND DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE I AM SENIOR CITIZEN AND A FEMALE. HARD COPIES OF THE REPAIRS AND WORK ORDERS WERE GIVEN TO NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION, OFFICE OF DEFECTIVE INVESTIGATION . *AK
