THIS IS ON A 2003 IZUSU ASCENDER (DIDN'T SEE THAT VEHICLE OPTION LISTED) . I'M NOT SURE OF VIN OR ENGINE DETAILS. I'M NO CAR EXPERT. VEHICLE A FEW TIME SPORATICALLY WOULD STALL BUT RESTARTED. THIS HAPPENED OVER A PERIOD OF A FEW WEEKS. LEAD UP TO VEHICLE BEING SHUT OFF A DAYCARE THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER WOULD NOT START (DEAD). VEHICLE WOULD MAKE "TURNING OVER" SOUND IF PLACED IN NEUTRAL BUT AGAIN WOULD NOT START. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER STATED THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE IGITION SWITCH. NOW - FEB 3RD, 2005 THE SAME VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHUT OFF. THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT OFF BUT THE KEY WOULD STAY IN ACCESSORY. BATTERY NEEDED TO BE UNHITCHED IN ORDER NOT TO DRAIN BATTERY. VEHICLE IN NOW A DEALER. DEALER STATES THEY ARE REPAIRING SHIFTING GEAR AND SOME OTHER PARTS WITH IGINITION. *AK
