All four factory Nexen tires on my brand new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid have shown rapid and uneven wear between 5,000 and 11,000 miles. The vehicle feels unstable, with alignment-like behavior. A Nexen preferred dealer suggested a possible tire defect. Hyundai Consumer Affairs and the dealership have not coordinated a proper warranty inspection, and I was asked to pay $189.99 for diagnosis even though the issue was documented early under warranty. I am concerned this may be a safety-related defect affecting other vehicles.(my 1st request to Hyundai since march 2026 all emails and conversations documented)

The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the lane assist suddenly steered the vehicle to the right while the road was curving to the left. The contact manually steered the vehicle to avoid a crash. The contact learned that the lane assist feature only activated while driving between 40 and 120 MPH; however, while accelerating and decelerating due to winding roads, the Lane Assist System failed to properly communicate and direct the vehicle, which the contact associated with the failure. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had been previously reprogrammed by the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 8,500.

I have a eye condition called Strabismus/ lazy eye that I've had for most of my life. I've learned to live with it quite well. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, roughly 4% of the U.S. adult population has Strabismus.. My previous vehicle (Genesis G70) had the Lane Keep feature that I used all the time. Now when I drive my new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybred on the highway with cruise control, I can't use "Lane Keep Assist" (on the steering wheel) because within a few seconds it will give WARNING-EYES ON THE ROAD, BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL then go into emergency stop while I am staring straight ahead and have both hands on the wheel. - - Also, if I am driving on a Interstate highway, the Lane Keep Assist comes on automatically as soon as I engage Cruise control, I have to turn off Lane Keep or within a few seconds, the emergency shutdown begins. I have to turn it off every time I re-engage Cruise control. The first time this happened I was driving in heavy traffic on I-20 outside of [XXX]. I had to maneuver thru 2 lanes of traffic before the vehicle completely stopped. I continued on without cruise control until I arrived home. After several tests it was decided that it was my eyes. I had the Hyundai service investigate but had no fix for the issue. The Lane Keep feature was always on in my 2019 Genesis G70 which was a nice feature and now with my new Tucson, I can't use it. I'm going backward with my safety features on vehicles. There must be some way to modify this to accommodate my condition and get back to the level of vehicle safety that I once had without trading down to a older vehicle. - - Hyundai case file XXX. All updates have been completed. - - STOP/CANCEL THE IN-CAB CAMERA MANDATE UNTIL ALL THE BUGS ARE FIXED - - INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The Forward Attention Monitor (or Driver Attention Monitor/Warning...or something similarly named) that monitors the driver's eyes to insure he/she is looking forward at all times) is overly sensitive and shuts off the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping systems. While it does this, there is a beeping, and a text display on the dash that requires reading, it is probably a sentence long, further distracting the driver from looking at the road....This potentially would cause a following vehicle, or a vehicle in an adjacent lane to make a defensive maneuver, or to have to brake abruptly, as one example...basically NOT SAFE) Adjusting the steering column to a safe driving position for me (the eye sensor is located on top of the steering column) also caused this system to turn off the cruise control and lane keeping systems constantly, causing me to have to raise it to an uncomfortable driving position. Also, related to this, the HVAC controls have very dim indicator lights to let the the driver know the fan speed or status of the A/C, making it very hard for the driver to see it and make quick changes before the STUPID eye sensor (Forward Attention Monitor or Driver Attention Monitor) cuts off the other safety features. I wear NON polarized sunglasses to be able drive safely in the very bright Arizona sun, and to see the HUD which is impossible to read if wearing polarized sunglasses. I have worn sunglasses while driving for over 50 years. This 2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid is the first car that has this very overly sensitive driver attention warning system and IF it is not adjusted quickly will cause me to sell this otherwise excellent vehicle at a great financial loss. My hope is that it can be adjusted with a software update or physical parts update, before this causes an very unfortunate vehicle accident. It makes driving this vehicle extremely unsafe. I have asked the dealer more than once about this and they say there is no current fix. thank yo

Sometimes in doesn't happen at all but more often than not it does. I have no data when this does this, no idea what speed I'm going at, no data about the blind spot safety controls. Nothing. If it unsafe to drive without knowing what speed you are going and other information. The dealer said they could not reproduce the condition even though there is a Hyundia Technical Service Bulletin out for the same problem on a similar Hyundai and many, similar reports on the Hyundai forum. The dealer said they could do nothing even though I had to drive off in an unsafe vehicle.

I have had two incidents with this vehicle (that I have owned for less than 90 days) that have raised safety concerns. Both involved the loss of all information on the "instrument panel" AKA dashboard. In the first (August 18, 2025), all of the warning lights came on, then the screen went dark - there was no information on the two screens and no head's up display. This happened while I was on the highway doing about 65 mph. After I was able to pull over safely, it took several attempts to get the vehicle started again and in gear. I took it to the dealer the next day and they were unable to replicate the issue and saw no codes. The second episode occurred yesterday (9/6/25). This time the screen went dark except for a large red warning "NO SIGNAL". The screen came back after a few moments; I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Both of these involved losing all information as to the speed of the vehicle - which I believe is a safety issue. Both of these issues have also been reported by others on Facebook ("Hyundai Owners") since late last year and it appears to be some sort of electrical issue but there has been no TSB or recall by Hyundai yet.

I purchased a brand-new Hyundai vehicle on [XXX] from Dublin Hyundai. Since purchase, the vehicle has exhibited repeated, serious defects that compromised the safety of my [XXX] baby and family. Timeline of Events: [XXX] – Vehicle purchased new. Safety concerns arose within weeks of ownership. July 16, 2025 – Vehicle dropped off for major issues: camera display failures, heads-up display malfunctions, and random security errors. Vehicle remained in service for over two weeks. August 2, 2025 – Returned with the check engine light on and a scratch on the deck. August 3–4, 2025 – Dropped off again; dealership instructed that the fuel level must remain between 50–70%. August 11, 2025 – Dropped off again; a loaner vehicle provided was unsafe — gear shift failure, body control system errors, infotainment failure, and inability to lock the vehicle. This put my baby’s safety at direct risk as the loaner could not be secured or reliably driven. August 19, 2025 – Vehicle returned with new scratches and multiple issues still unresolved. Late August 2025–Present – Vehicle was relocated to San Jose without my consent. I only know its location from the Hyundai app, which frequently alerts: “Battery level is below normal. Please check that vehicle lights and accessories are switched off to avoid battery drain.” I have not been provided proper updates from Hyundai or the dealership. Safety Risk: Repeated mechanical and electronic failures in both the new vehicle and the loaner. Vehicle is unreliable, unpredictable, and unsafe for transporting a young child. Manufacturer and dealer have failed to provide a safe, operable vehicle despite multiple repair attempts. I am filing this complaint because these issues pose a serious safety risk to me, my infant child, and other drivers on the road. The Hyundai Tucson's "Consider taking a break" advisory is triggered by the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system. This warning happens so frequently that it is more than an annoyance, but a safety issue, because the driver must continually take their eyes off the road to examine what the vehicle is complaining about, and therefore could conceivably be the cause of a crash. Dealer is aware of issue. See attached technical service bulletin. The problem is easily reproducible.
