The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and while passing a nearby vehicle on the left lane or while a street sign was nearby on the right side, the vehicle would independently apply the brakes without the brake pedal being depressed. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the failure was not identified. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300.
