The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS warning light illuminated, causing the brake pedal stopper to fail. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V651000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact also stated that the battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with electrical failure. The battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V769000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) as a possible remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
