TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY VEHICLE FOR GREATER THAT 3 MONTHS. I HAVE A RENTAL THAT MY KIDS CANNOT DRIVE DESPITE THE FACT THAT I SPEND LITERALLY THOUSANDS MORE IN INSURANCE PREMIUM TO COVER THEM!!!. AMERICAN HONDA OF NO HELP. THEY HAVE NO DATE CERTAIN WHEN MY AIRBAG WILL BE AVAILABLE. I EVEN OFFERED TO RETURN MY RENTAL AND PURCHASE A NEW RIDGELINE IF AMERICAN HONDA WOULD JUST CREDIT ME THE COST OF THE RENTAL - FOR WHICH THEY CONTINUE TO PAY - TOWARDS THE BEST PRICE I COULD NEGOTIATE ON A NEW RIDGELINE AT THE LOCAL DEALER. NO DEAL. THEY CONTINUE TO PAY FOR THE RENTAL - NOT A TRUCK - AND I CONTINUE TO BE WITHOUT MY VEHICLE; CONTINUE TO PAY HIGHER INSURANCE PREMIUMS FOR A CAR THAT MY KIDS CANNOT DRIVE. PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. THANKS, TED CALIANOS

An accumulation of road salt may cause the frame mounting surface, where the fuel tank mounting bands are attached, to corrode and possibly detach the fuel tank, which can result in a fuel leak.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear frame, as necessary, free of charge. Depending on the extent of any corrosion damage, Honda may offer to repurchase the vehicle.
