Vehicle is brand new and has is issue where when the steering wheel is straight, the vehicle pulls left often into the direction of opposite traffic. And in order for the vehicle to drive straight, the steering wheel has to be tilted to the right. I have seen identical complaints to this on reddit and people share my concern. It is available for inspection depending on the needs to assess this issue. I took the vehicle for an alignment at the dealership I purchased this vehicle from last week or so and the issue persists exactly as before I dropped off and they seem to not have a fix for this safety issue, making me concern for my safety when driving this vehicle. (Ourisman Honda of Laurel) This puts me and other drivers at risk! A service member confirmed this issue during a diagnostics drive. The vehicle steering wheel has not been inspected by any party as they have no fix for this safety issue at this time. (potentially a major safety issue) There are no indications of this issue and have seen many owners of the 2024 and 2023 model with this safety concern on online communities. This issue bas appeared since day of purchase of this vehicle on the 20th of March and makes me question my/others safety and my purchase.

The steering is sticking. It started around 4,000 miles and has gotten progressively worse at now 9,000 miles. It makes the vehicle very difficult to drive and very dangerous in rainy conditions because I am afraid it is going to slide having to snatch the steering out of a curve on a wet road! It's like a build up of pressure where the steering wheel wants you to go in one direction and you have to break it free to be able to turn. It is a constant battle, even on straight roads. Just a constant jerking motion to even drive it straight! I travel a road every day with 4 round-a-bouts and I have to break the steering out of the curve every time. If I am sitting at a dead stop with my hand resting on the steering wheel, it's like after a few seconds the pressure breaks free and it allows the steering wheel to turn and my hand to fall to the side with it. I have never encountered such a thing! I hate it! It is DANGEROUS! I cannot believe I have a new vehicle that I absolutely hate to drive because of this!!!!!!!!!!!!! There wasn't an incident but I am putting 11/15/2023 below because that is when I had to drive it in the rain out of town and was literally terrified at the way it drove! I don't remember the exact date it started but I remember that day for sure!

[XXX] When I purchased this vehicle it had four miles on it and had just been also purchased on the 5 it appears from Mexico and brought here to Honda South in morrow ga . No information was told to me about the recall nor was it on or disclosed to me . Next day I download the apps for my car to use and immediately I was stopped with alerts for open unrepaired recalls . When the dealership was confronted they said the manager wasn’t there to come back Tuesday . I seen where this is not only a recall but a stop sell and a non compliance ordered . Until repair or replacement inspections have been done . Now once the repair would have been made the system then would have been cleared of it . But obviously they purchased it from the import regardless of the letter sent out by NHTSA on [XXX] To Mr. Blank with Hondas campaign manager [XXX] . Honda south completely dismissed the importance of safety in disregards to the public safety and the warnings put in place . They then gave me a service dept. Receipt as if I came in for it not as a new customer falsely claiming and stating they received deductible in cash for an inspection. It stated it passed and no repair needed . They never did any of this but instead used it to clear the recall as if I was a previous owner receiving a notice . Then knowing it hadn’t been checked I went to another dealership to see if I could get the inspection and they said that in the system it showed I didn’t it yesterday and also had repairs and part numbers billed to the warranty company. I have everything that shows the deceptive actions I would love to see them prove in camera of all the fraudulent claims and proof they worked on it . They used and falsified government documents and records leaving inaccurate data and jeopardizing my and everyone else’s safety . You don’t know it’s bad til an actually accident happens it’s too late . Now they screwed my loan abusive forces of power . Please help take action INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.

This was enough to cause me and my passenger to leap forward in our seats; thankfully we were wearing our seatbelts. I have not been to the dealership yet for this issue, but will tell them at my first oil change. I’m really angry because the jolt this faulty sustem gave us was enough to trigger a panic attack or even a heart attack.

Gas Mileage and Fuel Consumption Report with Safety Concerns [XXX] & [XXX] 2024 Honda HRV I am reporting a critical concern related to the gas mileage reading and fuel consumption of my 2024 Honda HRV. Despite the recent diagnosis conducted by the manufacturer service center, the issue persists. The displayed gas mileage on the dashboard indicates a range of 17/19 city/highway miles per gallon, which significantly deviates from the expected fuel efficiency for this vehicle. Additionally, a maintenance request sign has appeared on the dashboard at only 2700 miles. This is an unexpected occurrence and adds to the concerns regarding the overall performance and reliability of the vehicle. The persistently inaccurate gas mileage readings, coupled with the maintenance request sign appearing prematurely, pose safety risks by potentially leading to unexpected breakdowns and compromising the overall reliability of the vehicle. I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and expect timely updates on the resolution progress. The HRV LX owner manual states that clicking the unlock button on the key fob one time unlocks only the driver door. And 2 clicks will open all doors and tailgate. This is a safety feature that’s been around for over a decade. Unfortunately, when I click the unlock button once, all doors and the tailgate unlock. My dealer (Dennis Smith, Rohrich Honda) told me the manual is correct and all doors should not be unlocking with 1 single click. He suggested I adjust the door settings. There is no such setting to adjust the fob/unlock settings on the LX trim. Smart Entry can be adjusted in such a way, but LXs do not have Smart Entry. This is a defect with the fob itself. I did some research and other LX owners have stated they noticed the defect as well. As it stands, there is no possible way for me to unlock only the driver door. This is concerning as it is a safety feature and the manual states it should work properly, and yet it does not.

RQ24006 · Front Seat Belt Assemblies May Be Missing The Rivet That Secures The Quick Connector And Wire Plate

Opened Apr 4, 2024 · Closed Mar 26, 2025

Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Seat Belts; Seat Belts:front

On April 4, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) opened RQ24006 to investigate American Honda Motor Co.’s (Honda’s) proposed remedy for recall 23V-782 as well as scope of the vehicles involved. Honda issued recall 23V-782 on November 21, 2023, which concerns certain model year (MY) 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, and Honda HR-V vehicles. Recall 23V-782 states that the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioner assemblies may have been manufactured without a rivet that secures the pretensioner quick connector and wire plate. Recall documentation states that seat belt pretensioner assemblies that are missing the rivet will not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of injury.Subject defective seat belt assemblies are installed as original equipment for both the driver and front passenger positions for the HR-V, but only for the driver position for the Accord and Accord Hybrid. The recall remedy for 23V-782 instructs the technician to inspect both front seat belt pretensioner assemblies and, if necessary, replace them. The inspection procedure requires the technician to utilize a pull force gauge to determine whether the subject component is missing the subject rivet and requires replacement. Parts requiring replacement are determined by whether the pretensioner quick connector separates from the pretensioner assembly while the technician is pulling on the seat belt. If no separation occurs, then the part is determined to be not defective and not require replacement. There have been no reports alleging a failure of seat belt pretensioner assemblies after the inspect and replace remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed. Additionally, no comparable failures have been observed in field data for similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall. As of the 4th quarter of 2024, the recall completion rate is at approximately 84% of the total recalled population. In view of the lack of failures after the remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed, and the lack of failures in similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall, ODI is closing this Recall Query (RQ). The Agency reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances.
