Also, lights went off and said to see dealer (have picture that I'm having issues attaching). Lights that went off were : collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, auto high beam, adaptive cruise control, some driver assist systems cannot operate (clear front windshield or poor viewing distraction) - all at the same time, even when it's no visible windshield issues. Yes, available for inspection. Want to take to Honda dealership but I'm being charged $80 for a diagnostic when this is a system issue. Not yet

IT FROOZE ENTIRELY, WOULDNT GO UP, WOULDNT GO IN REVERSE, JUST STAYED ON BUT WOULD NOT MOVE. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS I WAS ABLE TO GO BACK A LITTLE AND MOVE TO A SIDE AND THEN I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE UP THE ROAD. THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED SO I ASKED THE SERVICE SHOP AT THE DEALER TO CHECK IN DRIVING THE SAME ROAD. THE SITUATION DID NOT REPLICATE, THEREFORE THEY SAY THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO OR CHECK, ALTHOUGH I HAVE READ THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN KNOW TO DO THIS, BUT THEY DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE PRINTED EVIDENCE I TOOK TO THEM.. THERE WERE SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT HAD TO BE CHECKED BUT THE MANAGER REFUSED TO EVEN READ THE INFORMATION. THE MECHANIC SUGGESTED I STEP ON THE GAS UP TO THE END, ALTHOUGH THE MANUAL SAYS YOU SHOULD HIT GAS SLOWLY WHEN STOPING ON A HILL. EITHER WAY I TRIED BOTH WAYS....IT STILL FREEZES.

Hello, My car has had an active recall since last year and several dealerships state they don’t have the part to repair. Including regal Honda in Lakeland, FL who I’ve asked to call me when the part becomes available. This car also has defects with the wired CarPlay which intermittently cuts out even after trying over Apple 10 cables. Also, I’ve had the steering wheel replaced due to the leather peeling after only several weeks of owning. To which the same issue has occurred. When the steering wheel was replaced in NJ they left a razor blade in my car which cut me and paid me $250 to be quiet essentially after 6 months of looking for support from them.

As of 11/22/2024, Odometer reading little over 4k miles. Bought it brand new from Honda dealership in Pennsylvania. Issue: Right before coming to a complete stop i.e while down shifting 20mph to 6 - 8 miles per hour, I am feeling a sudden jolt while breaks applied. It is unknown to me weather this is a engine or transmission issue but this same issue many Honda HR-V owners have noticed and reported on social media. This issue is causing improper front side movement of the vehicle and causing improper break application when attempting to stop the car. This is causing a confusion and doubts while operating my car, making me feel unsafe to operate this car is a dense traffic situations. I am going to request as many car owners as possible to report this issue as they are facing the same issue but yet to report it to NHTSA. P.S Honda dealerships are charging $299 diagnostic fees which is not right. Authorities must address this issue with Honda with a mass recall to ensure people's safety. Thanks.

RQ24006 · Front Seat Belt Assemblies May Be Missing The Rivet That Secures The Quick Connector And Wire Plate

Opened Apr 4, 2024 · Closed Mar 26, 2025

Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Seat Belts; Seat Belts:front

On April 4, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) opened RQ24006 to investigate American Honda Motor Co.’s (Honda’s) proposed remedy for recall 23V-782 as well as scope of the vehicles involved. Honda issued recall 23V-782 on November 21, 2023, which concerns certain model year (MY) 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, and Honda HR-V vehicles. Recall 23V-782 states that the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioner assemblies may have been manufactured without a rivet that secures the pretensioner quick connector and wire plate. Recall documentation states that seat belt pretensioner assemblies that are missing the rivet will not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of injury.Subject defective seat belt assemblies are installed as original equipment for both the driver and front passenger positions for the HR-V, but only for the driver position for the Accord and Accord Hybrid. The recall remedy for 23V-782 instructs the technician to inspect both front seat belt pretensioner assemblies and, if necessary, replace them. The inspection procedure requires the technician to utilize a pull force gauge to determine whether the subject component is missing the subject rivet and requires replacement. Parts requiring replacement are determined by whether the pretensioner quick connector separates from the pretensioner assembly while the technician is pulling on the seat belt. If no separation occurs, then the part is determined to be not defective and not require replacement. There have been no reports alleging a failure of seat belt pretensioner assemblies after the inspect and replace remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed. Additionally, no comparable failures have been observed in field data for similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall. As of the 4th quarter of 2024, the recall completion rate is at approximately 84% of the total recalled population. In view of the lack of failures after the remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed, and the lack of failures in similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall, ODI is closing this Recall Query (RQ). The Agency reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances.
