Sep 22, 2004

ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE SPARE TIRE CARRIER BRACKET CAN FATIGUE AND LEAD TO FRACTURE.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: IF THE BRACKET BREAKS, CONTINUOUS VIBRATION MAY CAUSE THE CARRIER TO SLOWLY SLIDE OUT OF THE TRAILER HITCH CROSSTUBE AND FALL ON THE ROAD, WHICH COULD CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE SPARE TIRE CARRIER BRACKET BY WELDING IT TO THE TRAILER HITCH CROSSTUBE, ELIMINATING ALL VIBRATION. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 15, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HOME AND PARK AT 1-888-762-3873.
