TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 (NA) HARLEY DAVIDSON NIGHT ROD VRSCDX. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING BALANCING FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD CONSTANTLY LEAN TO THE RIGHT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE HAD TWISTED AND THE EXHAUST PIPE AND PANEL THAT HOLD THE ENGINE RAN DOWN ON TOP OF THE FRAME, CAUSING THE VEH…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 (NA) HARLEY DAVIDSON NIGHT ROD VRSCDX. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING BALANCING FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD CONSTANTLY LEAN TO THE RIGHT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE HAD TWISTED AND THE EXHAUST PIPE AND PANEL THAT HOLD THE ENGINE RAN DOWN ON TOP OF THE FRAME, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BECOME IMBALANCED. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL GAUGE AND SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS. THE CONTACT WAS PULLED OVER FOR DRIVING 100 MPH WHEN THE GAUGE ONLY READ 70 MPH. THE VEHICLE IS LIQUID COOLED WITH A RADIATOR. ON TWO OCCASIONS, THE BOLTS THAT SUPPORT THE RADIATOR HAVE FALLEN OUT, WHICH COULD BE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS AND CAUSE THE ENGINE TO FAIL. ALL OF THE FAILURES OCCURRED WITHIN ONE MONTH OF PURCHASING THE BRAND NEW VEHICLE. THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY FAILURE WITH THE FUEL GAUGE AND THE SPEEDOMETER. AFTER NUMEROUS VISITS, THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE WITH THE ENGINE AND THEY DECIDED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL GAUGE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,300 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,750.
