IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE - IDENTICAL TO THE GM IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM. THIS MOTORCYCLE HAD (AND MAY HAVE) AN IGNITION SWITCH THAT "JUST SHUTS OFF" BECAUSE OF VIBRATION. MY MOTORCYCLE SHUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHILE RIDING WHICH PUT ME IN EXTREME DANGER. SOMETIMES IT WOULD SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I WAS SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE CARS WENT BY AT 40 MPH OR MORE. MANY OF THEM DID NOT SEE ME UNTIL THE LAST SECOND AND I ALMOST GOT HIT SEVERAL TIMES. ADDITIONALLY, THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULD SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS RIDING FORCING ME TO QUICKLY TRY TO GET TO THE SHOULDER WITH NO POWER. THIS WAS ALSO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. TO GET THE MOTORCYCLE TO START AGAIN I HAD TO FUMBLE WITH THE KEY TO GET IT TO MAKE A CONNECTION. I HAD THE MOTORCYCLE REPAIRED BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEY PUT THE SAME TYPE OF SWITCH BACK INTO IT. IN OTHER WORDS, IF IT IS A DEFECTIVE DESIGN, THEY PUT THE SAME DEFECTIVELY DESIGNED SWITCH BACK INTO IT WHEN I HAD IT REPAIRED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF OTHERS HAVE RAISED CONCERNS. THIS IS EXTREMELY SCARY. THANK YOU. *TR
