I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. THERE HAVE BEEN A SUCCESSION OF COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEMS CULMINATING IN THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENGINE. THERE WAS A COOLANT LEAK IN THE MANIFOLD GASKET, HOWEVER THE MECHANIC NEGLECTED TO PUT OIL BACK IN THE CRANKCASE AND SIEZED THE ENGINE DURING THE ROAD TEST. THERE HAVE BEEN THREE RADIA…

I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. THERE HAVE BEEN A SUCCESSION OF COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEMS CULMINATING IN THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENGINE. THERE WAS A COOLANT LEAK IN THE MANIFOLD GASKET, HOWEVER THE MECHANIC NEGLECTED TO PUT OIL BACK IN THE CRANKCASE AND SIEZED THE ENGINE DURING THE ROAD TEST. THERE HAVE BEEN THREE RADIATORS INSTALLED (J3100'S) THE MOST RECENT JULY 98. I CAN'T COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES IT WAS BACK FOR LEAKING HOSES/CLAMPS. SEPT. 7, 99 THE BLOCK HEATER CORE PLUG BLEW OUT ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN THEY REPLACED THE ENGINE, THEY RE-USED A $25 PART WHICH COST ME $230 TO REPAIR. THE RADIATOR IS NOW LEAKING AGAIN. THAT IS ONE EVERY TWO YEARS. DEALER AND GMC SAID IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY (6 YEAR EXTENDED OPTION) AND WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY COMPENSATION. *AK
