BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE 2000. TOOK VEHICLE FOR RECALLED MFS IN DECEMBER 2002 RECALL #01V-364. AT THAT TIME THE SWITCH HAD FAILED. I ASSUMED THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW MFS, DEALER CLAIMS THAT MFS WAS NOT THE RECALLED PART. DEALER CLAIMS THE HAZARD SWITCH IS THE RECALL PART AND THAT THIS TIME THE HAZARD SWITCH IS WORKING PROPERLY. THE SYMPTOMS ARE THE EXACT SAME AS THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED. THE REMEDY FOR THE FIRST RECALL CALLED FOR A TOTAL REPLACEMENT OF THE MFS THAT FAILED AND GM WAS WORKING ON A REPAIR KIT FOR THE VEHICLES THAT HAD NOT FAILED. I WILL RETAIN OLD SWITCH AFTER THE SECOND REPLACEMENT. STILL WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM ZONE MANAGER OF G.M. *JB
