THIS DEFECT IS ADDRESSED IN CAMPAIGN # 01V364000 FOR 200 AND 2001, BUT NOT MY 1999. ALL USE THE SAME GM PART NUMBER. *TR
BRAKE LIGHTS AND THE HAZARD LIGHTS WERE NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THE PROBLEM WAS REPAIRED ONCE BY THE DEALER, BUT IT RECURRED. *AK

WHY SHOULD THESE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS GO OUT WHEN YOUR DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND TURN YOUR TURN SIGNAL ON? IT SEEMS TO ME, IT DEFEATS IT'S OWN PURPOSE. I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY DEFECT BECAUSE TO ONCOMING DRIVERS AND ALSO PEOPLE AHEAD OF YOU IT APPEARS YOU ARE SIGNALLING THEM. THIS IS ESPECIALLY PRONOUNCED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WITH MANY LANE CHANGES. HERE IN SEATTLE, THIS MAY PROVOKE AN ACT OF ROAD RAGE AS TO THE WRONG PERSON THIS LIGHT FLASHING COULD BE INTERPRETED AS A HOSTILE ACT.
