THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING GIVING ME ERRONEOUS HIGH AND LOW READINGS. I NOTICED IN AUGUST 2011, GM ISSUED A SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM, HOWEVER IT WAS ONLY GOOD FOR 10 YEARS OR 120,000 MILES. MY ENVOY IS 11-1/2 YEARS OLD, BUT ONLY HAS APPROX. 87,500 MILES ON IT. SEEING THIS IS AN OBVIOUSLY SAFETY ISSUE WHICH HAS LED TO AT LEAST 1 KNOWN ACCIDENT, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANYWAY THAT YOU CAN HELP ME GET GM TO EXTEND THE COVERAGE TO MY ENVOY? MY ENVOY ALSO RECENTLY HAD A SPECIAL COVERAGE INITIATED FOR THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM). I WAS ABLE TO GET THAT FIXED BECAUSE GM ISSUED THE COVERAGE FOR A TOTAL OF 12 YEARS AND 150,000 MILES. SO THE PRECEDENT HAS BEEN SET TO PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR A VEHICLE MY AGE. ANY HELP THAT YOU COULD PROVIDE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU. OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. I COULD DRIVE A VERY SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE THE OIL PRESSURE WOULD FALL DOWN TO ZERO. THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND THEN STOP ENGINE.
FUEL GAUGE DOESN'T WORK. HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS TWICE. NOT A SAFE SITUATION. GMC KNOWS AND HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL
