2015 GMC Acadia

No airbags deployed in the event of an accident. As a result of hydroplaning, my vehicle's drivers' side slammed into the concrete median on the highway before spinning out across the highway. I would have expected side/curtain airbags to deploy which would have prevented my children from hitting their heads on the windows during impact.

Filing a complaint with NHTSA that GM does not have a date when the front driver airbag can be replaced per recall Number [XXX]. This is a very dangerous airbag currently in my 2015 GM Arcadia [XXX] . The vehicle is not safe to drive and per phone call with GM customer service today 8/3/2023 there is no date when parts/replacement airbag will be available to order to replace the current airbag and eliminate the daily dangerous situation every time I drive this vehicle. The PASSENGER side air bag system on my 2015 GMC Acadia is issuing a warning light as of yesterday. The current recall is for the DRIVER seat airbag which I was told by the dealership there is no fix for as this time. I am concerned that the same potential for harm or death is present if the passenger side airbag malfunctions and would like to report the condition and request that a formal recall be created. I am also requesting information regarding when a fix will be available for the current recall.

My vehicle was recalled for exploding airbag inflators but the manufacturer has no remedy. They suggested i get a loaner car as it isn’t safe to drive. I asked if they would supply a loaner car until they have a remedy and they refused stating that it would be my responsibility to pay for the loaner but again suggested my car is unsafe to drive. I cannot afford to rent a vehicle everyday for an unknown period of time while I wait for my vehicle to be fixed. Please help

Received the notification of the airbag recall in the mail. Contacted the dealership where the car was purchased to inquire about the availability of repair parts. Was told by the service representative that there are no parts available at this time for repair. Also asked when the part would become available no timeframe is known. Requested a loaner be provided was told there were no available loaners available. Then called the # provided by GM if the dealership was unable to assist, was told by that rep that the repair parts would be available soon. Asked how long soon would take they were unable to quantify the time period.
