My starter failed. I took it to a triple AAA authorized mechanic. He did a full diagnosis of the entire starting system and determined that the starter needed to be replaced. He noted that water caused it to fail.

My concern for this vehicle is the panoramic sun roofs / moon roofs. I am hearing a lot of crunching, grinding, cricking, binding coming from panoramic sun roof. Sounds like it’s the assembly and glass making noise while driving, Turning into and out of driveways, going over speed bumps, pot holes, etc. My concern is will the sunroof shatter while I’m driving, will it hold up during an accident? This is a safety concern and hazardous. I only have 34000 miles on this car. Multiple people that have/had genesis with panoramic/ moon roofs are/had issues with the same area.

Recall number 1 from 2022 was just complete at Homer Skelton Hyundai in Olive Branch Mississippi on around [XXX]. Now this 2024 recall which is major involving over 30,000 vehicles as of today with the fire hazard is very very suspect. I received a letter 5 months ago and have not been able to drive my car because I may die. THAT'S THE TRUTH. Genesis has ceased all communication with myself and countless others, have not found a resolution and has directed us not to reach out to them again. They will not provide a rental car not any assistance and options. I want to speak with an Attorney. My daughter purchased this vehicle not even a year ago, paid cash for it and I only drove it less than 3 months. Genesis has billions I'm sure and they should not be able to get away with this. Just greedy and do not care. If those Asian Engineers can scam upon all kinds of secrets and violations with the United States I'm sure they can find a solution to this they are just trying to be cheap. I am furious that I have to ask people to take me everywhere for over 5 months. Being a woman of a particular age and on disability. What are the next steps? [XXX] ....... Randomly, infrequently when driving at highway speed with both hands on steering wheel get alarm and message to keep hands on steering wheel. I momentarily release and re-grip steering wheel and sound and message eventually disappear. No pattern as to when this occurs except at highway speeds.

AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40 MPH WITH BOTH HANDS AND A GOOD GRIP ON THE STEERING WHEEL I FREQUENTLY RECEIVE THE DISPLAY WARNING "KEEP HANDS ON STEERING WHEEL" AND A LOUD AUDIO WARNING. THE LOUD WARNING IS NOT ONLY ANNOYING BUT STARTLING TO EVERYONE IN THE CAR. IF I TAKE MY HANDS OFF THE WHEEL THE MESSAGE GOES AWAY. IF I LEAVE MY HANDS ON THE WHEEL AND EVEN GRIP TIGHTER THE WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL THERE IS A MESSAGE THAT THE LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM WILL BE DISABLED TEMPORARILY. THIS WARNING MAY REPEAT AT 30 SECOND INTERVALS OR LESS. RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT ROAD I EXPERIENCED THE WARNING SIX TIMES IN LESS THAN NINETY SECONDS. CHANGING HAND POSITION AND GIGGLING THE WHEEL DOESN'T STOP THE WARNING.
