The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

Door latch failure caused by high heat environment, vehicle initially purchased in the state of Arizona. When the door is attempted to be closed it will either bounce open catching on a latch jammed in the closed position, or when closed it will effortlessly push open without the need to engage the door handle. Ford Corporate told me this would be a free recall service, but when I showed up for my appointment the DGDG dealer attempted to charge me $200 for a diagnostic. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE BUT IT WAS NOT GOING TO CAUSE AND LONG TERM ISSUES, AFTER THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED I STARTED EXPERIENCING SHIFTING ISSUES INTERMITENTLY, I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AS THIS HAS PROGESSIVLEY GOTTEN WORSE TO CHECK FOR KNOWN ISSUES OR IF THEY WERE GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NOW WITH 85000 MILES THE CAR IS VIRTUALLY UNDRIVEABLE AND WONT SHIFT INTO SECOND GEAR AND STILL HAS THE VIBRATION. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND STILL SAYS THEY DO NOT KNOW OF ANY ISSUES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION SUIT STARTED.
