WHILE DRIVING TURNED THE CORNER AND THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED, WHICH AT THAT TIME ATTEMPED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP, HAD TO HIT A TREE BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. *AK
WHILE CAR IS RUNNING IT SMOKES AND MAKES A CLANKING NOISE.
POWER LOCKS FAILED, CAUSING DOORS NO TO LOCK. *AK
ENGINE FIRE. *DH
ENGINE BURNED UP.
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND A FIRE STARTED IN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE CAR WENT UP IN FLAMES. *AK CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE WAS PARKED HAD JUST BEEN DRIVEN A FEW HOURS PRIOR AND A NEIGHBOR NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD AND THE ENTIRE DASH WAS MELTED AND THE EXTERIOR.*JB
THEVEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AND THERE WAS A FIRE PRESENT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
ELECTRICAL SHORT OR SHOCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. *AK

THE IGNITION SWITCH COULD EXPERIENCE AN INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE OVERHEATING, SMOKE, AND POSSIBLY FIRE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AREA OF THE VEHICLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH.
