The trailer module hardware is bricked. Now I’m being told the module is on national back order and they are unsure what to do next.ñ, if this is even the fix. This is a serious safety issue that makes my truck useless for towing which is a major part of our regular use.

Sometimes this message will pop up even without the vehicle shutting off. This has occurred in park, drive, and reverse. My wife was backing out of a parking spot when the vehicle shut off, leaving her in the middle of the parking lot unable to restart the vehicle. It was already at a dealer once for repairs and they claimed to have performed the work called out on a service bulletin. The issues have persisted even after these repairs. The vehicle is now back to the dealer to see if they can figure out what is going on.

Automatic Emergency Braking engaged while the vehicle was in neutral tow. Resulted in 2 rear blown tires and damaged rims on vehicle.Attached the F250 correctly to the motorhome and confirmed truck was in neutral tow. Starting pulling the F250 and confirmed by looking at mirrors on the motorhome and rear camera that the wheels on the F250 were rolling both front axel and rear axel. After several blocks felt a hard tug while driving the motorhome, looked in the side mirror and rear camera and noticed smoke coming from rear tires. We pulled over on highway and stopped towing the vehicle. Went back to truck open the driver door and the dash was reading vehicle was still in neutral tow. Called a tow truck. The F250 truck was towed to the Moss Ford dealership. Ford dealership never neutral towed the F250 so they were unable to recreate the situation. However we had computer data on the F250 dating back to before the truck was delivered after manufacturing relating to brake issues. The Emergency brakes engages when we are driving it and comes on after stopping on a hill or after we tow a trailer. We have had this F250 into the dealership for brake warranty issues before we started to neutral tow the F250. We had neutral tow this truck over 1500 miles before this incident. We continued on our trip and currently in Chula Vista CA. Neutral tow the F250 all the way. However the Ford instructions on how to set up neutral tow does not tell you disable automated emergency braking system or disable the front collision warning system.

The electrical system/dash of the 2024 Ford-F250 is not working properly. When in drive mode the dash will state that vehicle will be shutting off and will shut off. When attempting to power up or down the windows, window may stop half way down or up or will not go up or down. Stereo will shut off or turn on and at times sound will shift to one speaker, truck has to be turned off and turned back on for all speakers to work or for stereo to go to it's normal functuality. This was brought to the attention of one of the Manager's Ford Dealership repair center and he said that he has been seeing many issues with the electrical components of all Ford trucks. Most of the trucks have to have the whole cab removed/lifted to be able to get to the electrical component that is causing the issue on the vehicle. This a new truck and it's ridiculous that we are having to go through this, the dealership wants to charge hundreds to check the truck and there should be no charge when this is a known issue.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An obstructed rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed August 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in September 2026.
