door latches freezes up in the cold . ford had a recall on them so i took it to William's Ford in Sayre Pa last year they did what Ford told them to do twice and i was back several times after that because it did not work and then i went to the dealership where i bought it at and spoke to Tony sales management and he was working on getting the problem fix with no luck threw his rep. and Ford Motor Co . then i called Ford customer complaint an got no where with them but they did call William's Ford to fix at my expense and said no i am not paying for something Ford has a known problem with . then weather was getting warmer so i had no issues and still did not fix the problem . now to day it 25 degree and went to get in doors opened ok but would not shut 3out of the 4 would not latch then i call the William's Ford Garage and they said they can not do anything to help me with this on going problem then i call the dealership to once again to speak with Tony and he off until next tuesday but iam sure not going to get anwhere with him tho i think he tries because that were i bought it but then he only can do what Ford Motor Co tells him to do .i run with a local fire co and last yr was twice i drove home hanging on the door and i let the garage and Tony know a still got nowhere . so to me it is a big safty problem that ford knows about and just getting away from fixing the problem . just last week i meet a guy that works at Matthew's pre - owend vehicles in Vestal Ny with the same problem and gets nowhere with Ford he told me startes the truck up leave a gap in door and turn the heat on high and 4 to 5 minutes later they work .so i guess your my last resort

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds the vehicle would slip out of gear and shift up and down gears without warning. The contact stated no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

It seemed to get wet and just started dropping. This is made of a ''felt'' type material instead of plastic or metal. It is is a huge safety hazard. The piece dragging could cause heat and a friction fire. Or it could fall off and cause a traffic accident or damage to vehicles on the road behind. I looked on line and found this is very common in these trucks and seems to be occurring more than not. not. There is an entire forum dedicated to this. I have temporarily zip tied the cover up but it is still dropping bad. I do not think an owner should be out over $200.00 to fix this when it is a obviously a manufacturer defect.

I was pulling my F150 out into a busy intersection from a hardware store exit when my vehicle completely stopped moving on October 19, 2021. I couldnt pull forward/backward and was almost hit broadside by another vehicle. My engine light came on and an error indicating that the BLISS with Crosstown Traffic had a concern. My transmission indicators were also not working. I shut the vehicle off and restarted and could only back up the vehicle into the parking lot. I was able to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the module and then restart the vehicle which then appeared to operate normal. I proceded out of the lot and the vehicle failed again. The vehicle was subsequently towed to Dean Arbour Ford in West Branch Michigan where it sits today October 26, 2021 still in the cue to be serviced. I feel that this is a very dangerous concern since it disabled the transmission in the middle of a busy intersection which could have caused a traumatic accident. Had this occurred at higway speed it may have been even more dangerous. Failure of the BLISS module should never disable the transmission.

I took it back to the dealer and they looked it over and said they can't find any problems now. i don't feel they were being honest in there assessment or did they look very hard to fix this issue . if the tailgate opens again on its own it could be very dangerous for any traffic behind as unsecured cargo could fall out at highway speeds .

When the headlight switch is turned from "Autolamps" to "Headlamps On," the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) may remain fully bright instead of dimming to parking lamps as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Daytime Running Lamps that do not dim may reduce the visibility of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: ,Dealers will reprogram the body control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 17, 2026. Owners may contact customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Quickly moving the shift lever from Park to Drive may cause a loss of gear indication on the instrument cluster display and a momentary selection of an unintended gear, such as Reverse or Neutral.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Unintended gear selection may cause the vehicle to move in an unexpected direction, increasing the risk of crash or injury.

Water and contaminants may get into the block heater cable's splice connector causing corrosion and damage.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: When the heater is plugged in, prolonged corrosion could cause a resistive short, increasing the risk of overheated or melted wiring which can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will disable the block heater cable, free of charge. Once parts are available, Dealers will replace the engine block heater cable, free of charge. On July 29, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE24019 to investigate complaints of low-pressure fuel pump failures in MY 2021 Ford Bronco vehicles. Some consumers reported that the failure occurred without warning while driving, resulting in a complete loss of motive power with no ability to restart the engine. Ford determined that several other vehicle models contain low-pressure fuel pumps substantially similar to the 2021 Ford Bronco, including the 2022-2023 Ford Bronco, 2018-2023 Ford F-150, 2022-2023 Ford Expedition, 2019-2023 Lincoln Navigator, 2020-2023 Ford F-250-F-550, 2024 Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab, 2024-2025 Ford Ranger, 2020-2023 Ford Explorer, 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator, and 2021-2025 Ford Mustang. ODI's investigation found that the affected vehicles may lose fuel pressure and flow from the fuel delivery module (consisting of a low-pressure fuel pump, jet pump, reservoir, and other parts) due to a low-pressure pump failure. This can cause the engine to stall while driving. The root cause is reduced internal clearance in the fuel pump, increasing friction and sensitivity to vapor lock. Fuel blockage from contamination inside the jet pump also contributed to the failure. Ford stated that the contamination source was unknown. On July 7, 2025, Ford filed recall 25V-455 for certain 2021-2023 Ford F-550 SD/F-450 SD/F-350 SD/F-250 SD, 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator, 2021-2022 Ford Mustang, 2021-2022 Ford F-150, 2021-2023 Ford Explorer, 2022 Ford Expedition, and 2021-2023 Ford Bronco vehicles produced between July 1, 2021, and July 30, 2022. The recall also included certain 2021-2023 Lincoln Aviator produced between July 1, 2021, and December 21, 2022. Ford explained in its recall filingthat the production dates used for the recall were based on changes in the manufacturing process. Specifically, Ford determined that in June 2021, the supplier modified the jet pump manufacturing process, producing fuel pump chambers with a lower-than-specified internal clearance. In July 2022, the supplier implemented corrective actions to the manufacturing process by adding two additional vacuum pumps to reduce contamination during the production of the jet pump. ODI has identified approximately 1,000 reports involving vehicles covered in this investigation but excluded from recall 25V-455. However, even with such reports, these vehicles experienced comparatively lower failure rates than the vehicles that are subject to Recall 25V-455. Ford has explained that these vehicles were excluded from the recall population because they did not experience the manufacturing changes that prompted the recall. Specifically, according to Ford, vehicles built before July 1, 2021 (the recall production start date), were not affected by the supplier’s change to the jet pump manufacturing process. Even after closing this investigation, ODI will continue to monitor complaints for vehicles excluded from recall 25V-455 to consider whether they exhibit the same risks as the vehicles encompassed by the recall. The recall remedy is currently under development. In view of Ford’s recall action, ODI is closing this Preliminary Evaluation, but will continue to monitor the issue as a remedy is developed and implemented. On August 24, 2018, Ford Motor Company recalled (FSA 18S27 - NHTSA #18V568) the affected population. Ford's investigation found that some front seat belt pretensioners may generate sparks during deployment in excess of Ford's specification. Sparks in the pretensioner exhaust gases inside the lower portion of the B-pillar may subsequently ignite combustible components contained in the B-pillar, such as insulation or carpet, and may cause a subsequent vehicle fire.
