2023 Ford F-150 Hybrid

Sudden downshift with Vehicle Transmission causing vehicle to come to an unexpected stop. Vehicle can lock up wheels and become uncontrollable. Vehicle was taken in to Ford dealership and dealer technician verified the issue. Technician sent data to Ford. Dealer reported issue to Ford and Ford told dealer there is no fix. If this continues to happen an accident could occur.

The transmission downshifts s hard after the vehicle is fully warmed up it will cause the rear tires to lock up on wet or slippery road conditions This may cause a loss of control and put the occupants of the vehicle in danger The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer but it has been in twice for this issue. the dealers do not have enough time to drive the vehicle long enough for the transmission problem to start. There are no warning lamps on the dash, but I do have video proof of this occurring.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal crunching sound coming from the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that later while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer. The dealer had not diagnosed the vehicle and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 700. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

At times will go out to start truck after it has been running for a while and will not start. Push start button and will not do anything. I had to wait for a least 2 hours before it would start again. I have read on internet that this has happened to several people. It could be very dangerous at night if this happened in some places. This problem doesn't happen very often but does happen. The truck acts like a dead battery this is the Power Boost model. I was told per dealer let it sit for a while and should start.

The vehicle not starting left me in a position where the vehicle was inoperable. This is a safety concern because is would put me or my family in potential danger from the elements, inability to receive health care and potential danger from individuals of I’ll intent. 3. Yes. 4. Unknown. 5. Unknown. Although I received low voltage messages, I had no idea what that meant. The Ford app simply told me to drive the vehicle to charge the battery. I drive the truck daily.

My truck is less than 1 month old and less than 1,000 miles. On two separate occasions, when attempting to start the ignition the engine will not start. A "Stop Safely Now" message appears on the dashboard, and the truck will power on the accessories only. Now matter how many attempts to turn on the ignition, the truck will not turn on. This leaves you completely stranded wherever you are. You do not know when this SSN message will occur, and can be a serious safety issue if being left stranded somewhere. There were no messages, codes, or other issues reported from the truck prior to this. The battery was checked and is sufficient. This is a problem with the powerboost hybrid engine in the Ford F150.

This is a bran new vehicle. Power train failure indicated on screen. The transmission started jacking off leaving me with no acceleration. The truck was put in the dealership shop and repair. I picked it up about 4 weeks later. Drove it about 20 miles and the same thing happened again twice with in the 20 miles I drove. It’s back in the dealership shop been there about 3 weeks wanting on different parts then the first time they repaired it with.

When coming to a stop, say a stop light or stop sign, after a few seconds at a complete stop, the vehicle lurches violently forward. First time it happened, I thought I was rear ended, but no one was behind me. According tho hundreds of posts on www.f150gen14.com, it seems to be a known issue with the Auxiliary Transmission Oil pump, but dealerships are not acknowledging the issue or claiming it's a non-warranty issue. Regardless of that, the safety concern is the vehicle lurching into traffic, pedestrian, car in front, etc.

Brand new truck with less than 500 miles on the odometer and now having issues with the auxiliary transmission pump which is responsible for switching between the hybrid system (engine to battery and vice versa). The issue with this is that is also makes the vehicle lurch forward as if it was rear ended, with the potential to hit something in front as a result. I left the vehicle with the dealer on Tuesday (7/25) and was just told on Thursday (7/27) that it would take a month before the vehicle can see their transmission department and that it would need to stay with them for the entire duration. I am now out of a vehicle I've owned for 2 weeks for the next month, and realistically even more time as once diagnosis occurs then more waiting is needed for parts/repair.
