Listed date as the date I caught issue on camera, but this has happened multiple times before and since. Numerous issues w/ infotainment system on 2022 F150 Powerboost Platinum. Backup cameras will load normally when put into reverse, but "freeze" once the vehicle starts moving. Still displays last image, however it's not updating nor does any of the sensors work at this point. Vehicle still drives/shifts normally, but no alerts or warnings indicate problem. It's easy enough to realize (at some point) that the screen is frozen, however there are numerous safety hazards that this presents. One Example: Imagine backing out of a tight spot in a parking lot. Your camera loads normally and you start backing up, watching your camera/sensors. It freezes, in the 3-4 seconds it takes for you to realize that you're no longer watching a live feed, a child runs behind your vehicle, Not good. Again, the backup sensors do not work at this point. Additionally the screen will stay frozen in this manner for some time, restarting the vehicle does nothing. At some point the entire system will crash and both the dash and center screen go black though the vehicle continues to operate though you no longer have speedometer or other dashboard indications as they are all digital. In this incident I captured the frozen screen on video, and after restarting the vehicle multiple times, I began to drive home. Shortly after getting onto the freeway, both screens went blank and audio issues began, I had to pull off of the freeway, turn the truck off and wait about 10 minutes for it to boot back up and begin to work normally. Ford service could not find any problems or reproduce issue. It has happened maybe 5 or 6 times so far in the year I've owned the truck. I've attached a .gif of the problem captured on video (Ford service has seen and notated the problem as well). I have a better quality video available for your review. Gif shows frozen reverse screen, while pulling forward in drive.

New 2022 Ford F-150 vehicle has a "Rear Brake Assist Not Available" dash warning with accompanting DTCs B1578:78, IPMA Error, and U023A, Lost Communication with Image Processing Module A. I should note my Check Engine Light never came on for either of these DTCs - I was given these codes by the dealer when I took vehicle in for service concerning the aforementioned dash warning. After having the vehicle for 10 days in May 2022, the dealer replaced the rear camera (ML3Z-19G490-C), control assembly (ML3Z-14G647-R), and performed an IPMA calibration and a 360° camera calibration. Work order indicates hard fault did not clear and after multiple calibration attempts, it finally completed and everything was okay. However, the Rear Brake Assist Not Available malfunction is not rectified and is still present. After advising Ford dealer Service Advisor the problem was not rectified, SA indicated Ford Engineering acknowledged it is a problem for which they do not yet have a solution. This is a safety system designed to prevent running over children, animals, and other collisions when driving in reverse with automatic rear braking assistance. If Ford cannot get it to work properly, what is the solution? The system has not worked since I took delivery of the new vehicle on April 15, 2022. Consequently, I have disabled Rear Brake Assist in the Driver Assistance Settings. Other driver assistance and safety features appear to be operating properly.
