2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid

The computer system malfunctioned; the front panel warning was "Stop vehicle and check regen. brakes". I put my car in drive and when I hit the gas pedal the car reversed instead of going forward. I got it towed to the dealer at Piazza Hyundai in Limerick PA. The service did not provide me with an explanation about the warning and showed little concerns to the issues, I was given a month time frame for looking at my car. I consider this a safety issue as the car did not respond appropriately to D and R, I suspect a computer failure.

My truck is currently experiencing a Front Camera Fault that is resulting the pre-collision warning/assist, adaptive/normal cruise control, and lane keeping warning/assist from operating as designed. Upon dealer inspection on 7/11/24 it is noted that TSB 23-2146 was issued to correct the issue by replacing cables and ultimately the image control camera and module resulting in thousands of dollars in repair costs of a known issue by Ford.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while attempting to make a turn from a complete stop at an intersection, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the START/STOP feature was engaged at the time of the failure. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle several times and the vehicle responded. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while driving in a construction zone with the Lane Departure Steering Assist mode engaged, he turned the steering wheel to avoid the construction cone; however, the vehicle veered to the opposite direction and was pulling towards the construction cone. The contact also stated while driving and passing a semi-truck, the vehicle jerked and was pulling to the right, towards the rear of the semi-truck. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle pulled toward an embankment. The contact deactivated the Lane Assist feature. The contact stated while driving and depressing the brake pedal to make a complete stop, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stood on the brake pedal, but the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing a 10-foot stopping distance delay. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
