VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE FUEL HOSE DISCONNECTS BETWEEN FUEL PUMP REGULATOR AND FUEL TANK OUTLET NOZZLE. THE FUEL PUMP AND HOSE ARE LOCATED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP WITHOUT WARNING AFFECTING THE HANDLING OF THE MOTORCYCLE.
Remedy: EXCELSIOR-HENDERSON HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. THE CORRECTION WAS TO INSTALL A PLASTIC SAFETY TIE TO SECURE THE FUEL HOSE.
