The contact owns a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4. The contact stated that there was an abnormal air sound coming from the brake pedal while depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V050000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 10.
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles. Excessive heat may damage the rear brake hose between the ABS control unit and brake caliper, resulting in a sudden loss of the rear brakes.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A sudden loss of rear brake function increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the thermal shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 9, 2026. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-26-001. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 3, 2026. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 25V013. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall will need to have the new remedy completed.
