Have been, unsuccessfully, attempting to get my vehicle repaired under Safety Recall Notice 25V-246 for almost 1 year. Today was my fourth attempt. I do not believe the manufacturer is making a good faith attempt to rectify a built in defect with my car.

The contact stated that the back-over display screen displayed a black screen. The contact stated that because of the failure, the contact vehicle crashed into another vehicle. The contact stated that it was a minor crash. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for damage repairs. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V246000 (Back Over Prevention). The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the parts were on back order. In addition, the contact stated that parts were on back order for two months and were still unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,100.

The contact owns a 2024 Dodge Hornet. The contact stated that he had received a text message from the local Dodge dealer and was notified of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V246000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact was also informed that the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle back to the dealer and that a loaner vehicle would be provided until parts became available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. Recently, the contact received an email from the manufacturer that there was no set date for when parts for the recall would become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. 25V846000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:pedals And Linkages

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The brake pedal may collapse and cause a loss of brake function.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will reinforce the brake pedal arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Owners may contact FCA Customer Service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D0C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 16, 2025. This recall is an expansion of previous NHTSA recall number 24V752.
