I leased this car there purchased it. Never had any accident or anything in that sort. However my car start to make this metal noise when I am driving which is super loud. I took it to the dealership but they said it's not serious without doing a thorough check up. they said it's just a sound that those type cars make and it replace the metal part it cost about 10k or something like that. I never heard this sound in any type of car. The sound is very loud and I don't feel safe driving my car. Something is off and the metal sound is constant. like 2 pieces of metal rubbing into each other and they're about to break.

Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Car is totaled out by insurance company. Not sure of answer to this question. Has the vehicle or component inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when they first appeared? No.

The vehicle's Uconnect system (which is required for most all functions including backup camera) will intermittently go black and become unresponsive. Soft and hard resets do not resolve it at first. Hard reset eventually resulted in a generic screen with numerous functions missing. Eventually after several hours the correct screen restored itself. This happens intermittently and there are hundreds of reports of this online (search for Uconnect screen black).

There is a loud popping sound when I start my car. It sounds as if the car is back firing. The sound has been duplicated several times. The sound does not happen every time, but it has happened well over 100 times. I have taken it into the dealership, and they claim that the sound can never be duplicated. Also, when I place my car in reverse and then drive the backup camera screen remains on in after driving forward for more than 30 seconds. This is VERY hazardous because when looking at the screen i can still see what is behind me which is a huge distraction.

I had a flat tire while driving to work and was unable to pull over for about a few thousand feet. As the tire went flat I swirled into the grass on a street without a shoulder. The tire snapped off and was not locatable. I filed a police report and called the police at time of incident. The total damage on the vehicle was under $3,000 but because the tire snapped off and damaged the firewall Dodge stated that the vehicle had to be a total loss. This was a 2019 challenger there should be no reason for a wheel to snap off like such. After visiting several Dodge chat rooms I have learned that this is very common with the challenger and needs to be addressed with a class action suit and safety recall! This happens very often to Dodge challenger consumers

There were no signs of the tire pressure lamp was on. I went to the Dodge dealership in Bessemer, Al. At no avail did the mechanic checked the wheels only to say there are no recalls on this model. On my way to work on 9/28/23 my 2019 dodge challenger hellcat Redeye engine just shut off at 65mph. I was in the left lane by the wall on I45 heading northbound. I instantly had a loss of power steering and braking. The engine just shut off. A check engine light came on and the dash said shift I to park to start. I was successfully able to get across 4 lanes of traffic to stop on the apron between o ram and side of freeway. When I shifted to park and to try to restart it would not start. Had to be towed to dealership where upon inspection they said the motor was locked. When broken down a valve just dropped into the cylinder and jammed into the piston and cylinder wall. Pieces also damaged the head and the supercharger and dealer says starter is fried. Mopar is digging in and acting like this isn’t an issue but online there are several class actions and forums about defective valve system in these engines. Had I been a novice driver or my wife with children jn the car she would likely not been able to get off to a safe place and stalled dead in the fast lane of a very busy Houston roadway.

20V191000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Cherokee, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Renegade and 2019 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with 8.4" or 12" radio displays. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The lingering rearview image can distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the radio display software, free of charge. Optionally, owners can choose to remotely update their software via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update available as of May 1, 2020. The recall began April 27, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W30-W37.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger vehicles. An incompatible front wheel and brake package was installed and may allow the front tire to contact the steering knuckle, causing tire damage.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A damaged tire can suddenly lose air pressure and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: FCA US will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front wheels and inspect and replace the front tires, as necessary. In addition, dealers will inspect the wheel alignment, adjusting it if necessary. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began December 19, 2019. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is VB0.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles. The instrument cluster may not properly illuminate driver warnings. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Failure of the instrument cluster to properly illuminate may prevent the driver from receiving warnings about the vehicle's systems, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. The recall began April 8, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V32.

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants.
