2019 Detroit Chassis Ford Motorhome Chassis

I am the owner of a 2019 Ford F-53 stripped chassis equipped with a Triton V10 6.8L 3V gas engine. In December 2022, the vehicle experienced a manufacturer-related failure requiring a full rebuild of the right side of the engine. In July 2025, the left-side camshaft phasers, lifters, and rockers catastrophically failed, rupturing within the valve cover and contaminating the entire engine. As a small business owner, I could not afford to lose use of the vehicle for 3–4 weeks while navigating Ford’s internal warranty process. I was advised by a representative from Ford Pro to pay for the repair out of pocket and submit for “after warranty assistance.” I followed their guidance, paying $17,521 for the repair, plus $2,000 in towing fees, and $4,400 for an extended warranty to prevent further issues. After submitting all required documentation, my claim was denied on the grounds of “lack of maintenance records,” based on Ford’s internal commercial service log which falsely indicated no oil changes between 7,002 and 38,940 miles. I immediately provided documentation—including state inspection records and independent maintenance logs—proving that Ford’s records were inaccurate and corrupted. Despite this, Ford upheld the denial without further investigation. When presented with substantial evidence contradicting their internal records, Ford ceased communication altogether. I have made repeated requests for a call back or escalation, which have gone ignored. This has been financially and operationally devastating. I acted in good faith, followed the procedures provided by Ford, and am now left with over $23,000 in out-of-pocket costs, no reimbursement, and no further support. The basis of the denial—corrupted logs—has been disproven, and yet Ford has failed to take accountability or offer a remedy. I am requesting that Ford re-open my case for after warranty assistance, re-evaluate the claim based on the corrected and verified documentation and reimburse as promised.
