TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND HEARD A LOUD METAL TO METAL DRAGGING NOISE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LATER NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS PARTIALLY DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE BOTH FUEL TAN…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND HEARD A LOUD METAL TO METAL DRAGGING NOISE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LATER NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS PARTIALLY DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE BOTH FUEL TANK STRAPS WERE REPLACED DUE TO CORROSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
