AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE AFTER WORK, THE REAR WINDOW OF MY CONVERTIBLE FELL INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF THE CAR. SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE AFTER WORK, THE REAR WINDOW OF MY CONVERTIBLE FELL INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF THE CAR. SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. FORTUNATELY I WASN'T GOING VERY QUICKLY OR I MIGHT HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR. GOT THE CAR HOME AND LOOKED THE ISSUE UP ON THE INTERNET AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND THAT APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR, CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT IT, BUT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THEIR ANSWER IS TO INSTALL A NEW ROOF AT $3,800. I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE A PIECE OF GLASS COMING LOOSE LIKE THAT IN A MOVING VEHICLE CAN CAUSE A REAL PROBLEM.

THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WILL NOT OPEN WHEN THE RED LIGHT IS LIT ON THE REAR SPOILER BUTTON. IF YOU DRIVE 75 FEET OR SO THE RED LIGHT GOES OFF ON THE SPOILER BUTTON AND THEN THE TOP WILL OPEN. THE TOP ALSO WILL NOT CLOSE WHEN THIS LIGHT IS LIT UNLESS YOU DRIVE UNTIL IT GOES OUT.
