THE REAR ADHESIVE ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTERS REAR WINDOW, THAT HOLDS IT TO THE SOFT TOP CONVERTIBLE, HAS BEGUN TO DETACH. I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE ISSUE AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY AND THEY WILL NOT ASSIST. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME BECAUSE THE WINDOW COULD DETACH WHILE DRIVING AND POSSIBLY CAUSE HARM AND/OR DEATH TO OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROADWAY. I FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THE ISSUE WITH A BULLETIN # SB-23035-11REVA THAT RECOMMENDS THAT THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BE INSPECTED AND/OR REPLACED IF DEFECTIVE. CHRYSLER IS NOT HELPING AT ALL WITH THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE TO HELP ME FIX IT AND MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFE FOR MYSELF, AND THE OTHERS AROUND ME. I AM A MEMBER OF CROSSFIREFORUM.ORG AND THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE THAT HAVE EITHER GOTTEN IT REPLACED BY CHRYSLER FOR FREE, OR PAID A CO-PAY TO HELP THEM FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT I WAS OFFERED NEITHER FOR THIS EXTREMELY UNSAFE ISSUE MY VEHICLE HAS. PLEASE HELP ME IN ANY WAY THAT YOU CAN. *TR

THE REAR WINDOW STARTED TO FALL OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THIS HAS A KNOW PROBLEM BY CHRYSLER AND THEY HAVE A SERVICE BULLETIN ON (23-035-11) ON CARS SENT TO CERTAIN SOUTHERN STATES BUT MINE WAS FROM VIRGINIA AND THE ARE SAYING IT IS NOT COVERED. THIS APPEARS TO HAPPEN ON ALL CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLES ,THERE IS A GLUE DEFECT ON ALL THESE CROSSFIRES AND THE HEAT FROM THE SOUTHERN STATES EXPEDITES THE DELAMINATION. IT GETS JUST AS HOT IN VIRGINIA. IF A CAR WAS SHIPPED TO NORTH CAROLINA FOR A DAY THEN DRIVEN ELSE WERE IT WOULD BE COVERED, THEY RECALL MAKES KNOW SENSE. THIS IS A KNOW DEFECT BY CHRYSLER ON ALL THE 2005 CONVERTIBLES, THEY WERE ALL MADE IN THE SAME PLACE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION TO EVERYONE AND CHRYSLER NEEDS TO REPLACE ALL THESE TOPS ON THE 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLES AND/OR EXTEND THE RECALL/BULLETIN TO ALL THE 2005 CHRYSLER CONVERTIBLES BEFORE SOMEONE GETS UNNECESSARILY KILLED. *TT

PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR, FROM A CHRYSLER DEALER. IT CAME WITH A PLASTIC WINDOW, WHICH I FOUND OUT, IS NOT FACTORY/STANDARD. THE DEALER REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF IT. FOUND OUT ABOUT THE X31 AND SB-23035-11REVA BULLETIN, CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT IT, GOT TURNED DOWN BECAUSE WE ARE THE 4TH OWNERS OF THE CAR, AND IT WAS 3,000 OVER THE 100K MILE LIMIT. I WROTE SERGIO MARCHIONNE, THE CEO OF CHRYSLER, GOT A REVIEW, BUT WAS TURNED DOWN AGAIN. TOLD THAT IT "WOULD NOT MAKE GOOD BUSINESS SENSE" TO FIX MY CAR! WHAT!!? THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD, AND SINCE CHRYSLER HAS OWNED UP, THEY SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE A GOOD MANUFACTURER, AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS, ORIGINAL OR NOT. THE CONDITION IS DANGEROUS. *TR

THE BACK GLASS ADHESIVE ON THE CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTER IS FAILING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ALMOST 3 INCHES ACROSS TOP AND BOTTOM, CAUSING THE GLASS TO SEPARATE FROM THE FABRIC TOP. THIS ADHESIVE IS THE ONLY SUPPORT FOR THE WINDOW TO THE FABRIC TOP. THE WINDOW/TOP CONNECTION CURRENTLY DOES NOT PROVIDE A WATERPROOF SEAL AND ALLOWS WATER TO ENTER THE VEHICLE. THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN THE ADHESIVE FAILS COMPLETELY AND THE GLASS FALLS OUT ON A ROADWAY OR TURNS INTO A PROJECTILE INSIDE THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. VERY COSTLY TO THE CONSUMER TO REPAIR SHOULD BE RECALLED AS IT LOOKS LIKE THERE ARE MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *KB
REAR WINDOW IN ROADSTER (CONVERTIBLE) TOP IS BECOMING UNGLUED / DELAMINATED FROM THE FABRIC TOP. IF IT COMES COMPLETELY UNGLUED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT COULD BE QUITE DANGEROUS. *TR

On June 14, 2014, a consumer petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to open a defect investigation into separation of convertible top back glass in model year 2005 Crossfire Roadster vehicles.In assessing the petitioner's request, NHTSA reviewed information from the petitioner, information from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US, LLC, relevant reports in the NHTSA complaint database received from June 23, 2008 through July 8, 2015, and interviews with complainants.NHTSA's review indicates that separation of the back glass occurs gradually and the glass remains intact and inside the top after the failure. Considering agency priorities and agency resources, and the likelihood that further investigation would not result in a defect finding, NHTSA has concluded that further investigation of petitioner's concerns is not warranted.The agency has denied the petition.The official petition denial, as published in the Federal Register, is available in the document file for this petition.The ODI reports cited above can be viewed at http://WWW-Odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/searchsafetyissues under the following ID numbers:Model Year 2005: 10232068, 10244032, 10265936, 10272683, 10274198, 10275338, 10280257, 10285544, 10286600, 10290809, 10292215, 10295419, 10297744, 10304575, 10317910, 10318467, 10327077, 10327241, 10327522, 10330552, 10330824, 10331549, 10331660, 10332687, 10335152, 10335647, 10335784, 10335894, 10336569, 10339952, 10340666, 10341739, 10341764, 10341994, 10342121, 10344548, 10346187, 10346634, 10348093, 10348172, 10349739, 10351200, 10354191, 10355983, 10357042, 10358728, 10364408, 10366780, 10392381, 10392484, 10392512, 10395335, 10397367, 10397469, 10400172, 10399411, 10400000, 10400014, 10401397, 10405983, 10407305, 10407381, 10407446, 10408774, 10409108, 10410089, 10411393, 10410982, 10412397, 10413857, 10416839, 10417044, 10421018, 10422255, 10422391, 10423399, 10422677, 10425474, 10426456, 10426457, 10426482, 10426726, 10426835, 10426955, 10427552, 10427650, 10429300, 10430266, 10430370, 10433542, 10435621, 10437683, 10438574, 10443341, 10453539, 10454455, 10454522, 10458240, 10459366, 10459592, 10460944, 10461484, 10462854, 10463486, 10464039, 10464046, 10464438, 10464712, 10465793, 10466738, 10466859, 10466943, 10467946, 10468273, 10468478, 10469925, 10472038, 10475880, 10478204, 10479632, 10481176, 10482219, 10482538, 10485784, 10494614, 10494838, 10500114, 10505458, 10508731, 10509485, 10510253, 10512594, 10513706, 10566443, 10515305, 10520531, 10520677, 10521494, 10521505, 10523127, 10524704, 10524980, 10525342, 10525645, 10525900, 10531903, 10533246, 10533383, 10536563, 10536583, 10536782, 10537291, 10538413, 10542030, 10542479, 10542814, 10542837, 10544853, 10546359, 10546526, 10557174, 10561494, 10563449, 10575001, 10579567, 10582881, 10584775, 10592131, 10593534, 10595534, 10606523, 10609043, 10609817, 10609848, 10610188, 10617272, 10618234, 10619296, 10620991, 10621858, 10628119, 10630892, 10638716, 10639126, 10639441, 10654185, 10659508, 10683893, 10692972, 10712417, 10712420, 10714226, 10716860, 10721106, 10721516, 10722596, 10722634, 10722916, 10724901, 10726429, 10726714, 10726989, 10730311, 10730525, 10730598, 10731005, 10731466, 10731539, 10731085, 10732585, 10732661Other Model Years: 10336469, 10343431, 10413664, 10420136, 10432247, 10432571, 10444772, 10459104, 10460799, 10461493, 10468185, 10468432, 10468785, 10473168, 10475908, 10479916, 10508633, 10511410, 10512807, 10513128, 10522964, 10523076, 10524890, 10525892, 10532177, 10534812, 10541904, 10541906, 10565470, 10595975, 10597246, 10604781, 10606865, 10608533, 10610546, 10610811, 10611167, 10614809, 10616375, 10
