I brought my Chevrolet Suburban High Country in to the dealer pursuant to a recall for engine issues due to a manufacturing defect in connecting rods and crankshafts that can cause catastrophic engine failure. The service center changed the oil viscosity and fill cap and stated that the change should eliminate the issue. I have had persistent engine knocking upon acceleration since then and it is getting louder and more prominent. A suspension warning intermittently flashes as well. Please advise, thank you

We purchased a 2023 Chevy Suburban in January of 2026. In May the vehicle shut off on me at a stop light. The check engine light flashed after I was able to restart it. I took it to the dealer and they said they "couldn't recreate the issue" even though there was an engine misfire code on all cylinders. They told me to come pick it up and bring it back if I had further issues. The second time this happened I had issues getting the vehicle started. This was June 2026 Once I finally got it started and was driving all the service lights started going off and the check engine light started flashing. I took it to a different chevy dealer and was told the same thing. This time I had 23 different service codes that showed up. Including the engine misfire code. So we picked it up and continued to drive it. On July 10th we were towing a 7k lb camper home when we lost all power. Thankfully we weren't driving fast and we're able to stop. This left us stranded at a busy intersection for 2 hours. The car would not go out of neutral. Had we been going 70 on an interstate we could have very seriously been hurt. The car had to be towed back to the dealership where we were told the engine locked up and needed to be replaced. My husband and I had our [XXX] child in the backseat with us. This was a family car that we purchased and told twice that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The vehicle has been at the dealership waiting on a motor since July 11th. The fuel pump module on this vechicle failed, and there's a recall for 2021 I believe other years should be considered as well since this was a known issue as soon as we arrived at the dealership and they wanted over $400 to replace this part which is only $45.
My vehicle was met with an accident on June 28, 2026. The accident was very swear and driver get internal injuries like swelling on face pain in head and ribs due to the heavy shock. But non of the airbag has been activated for safety of driver.

This is a safety issue because it creates mold as water falls in the headliner and then the cabin. It also creates rust, particularly behind the dashboard. That’s not rust proof. Despite being under warranty, the dealers are useless and helping address the issue because it’s la design flaw. The multiple water intrusions also affect the electronics in the vehicle., potentially disabling critical features like airbags and safety systems.

The engine of this car has been under recall for multiple issues during the time we have owned it. The most recent issue that was experienced was total engine failure and electrical malfunction while driving on a busy street near train tracks. The vehicle was making a loud banging sound moments before this occurred. I wasn't even given time to get to a safe spot to investigate the issue. When it shut down, a quick message flashed across the dash board--stating ability to shift had been lost (or something to that effect)--the vehicle then flipped into neutral and immediately lost power. My safety was put at great risk due to the fact that the entire vehicle shut down moments after I crossed over a very busy railway track. The vehicle had to be towed to a nearby Chevrolet dealership where it has been confirmed there was total engine failure as well as blown main electrical fuse.

My 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Premier is covered under GM recall 25V-274 for the 6.2L L87 engine defect (loss of propulsion from connecting rod and crankshaft failure). In XXX, the dealer notified me my vehicle required a full engine replacement under this recall. Wareing Sheridan Chevrolet in [XXX] replaced the engine, and the vehicle was out of service approximately 12 to 14 days. Approximately 6,000 miles later, on XXX, the replacement engine failed while I was driving on the interstate highway near Billings, Montana. There were no warning indicators of any kind until I suddenly lost power. Only at the moment power was lost did the check engine light come on and a low oil pressure warning appear. I was barely able to get the vehicle off the interstate before it died. I had my family in the vehicle, and losing power on the interstate with no warning created a serious risk of a crash. The vehicle had to be towed to Denny Menholt Chevrolet in Billings, MT. On June 13, 2026, the dealer confirmed the vehicle needs a second complete engine replacement under the same recall. This is the second L87 engine failure and second full engine replacement on this vehicle under recall 25V-274. No crash or injuries occurred. I have an open case with GM (#XXX).
