THE FAILURE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN KNOWN BY GENERAL MOTORS AND WAS ANNOUNCED VIA ATSB SAFETY RECALL 98043. FAILURES ARE SEEN IN VEHICLES WHOSE VIN NUMBERS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL SAFETY RECALL. I FEEL THAT GM SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED A LARGER NUMBER OF VEHICLES SINCE IT APPARENT THAT MORE FAULTY CONTROL MODULES WERE INSTALLED IN VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN THE EARLY TO LATE 1990'S.*AK
WHILE USING WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WITHOUT WARNING WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED, RESULTING IN A DIFFICULT VIEW TO DRIVER. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED, AND CONFIRMED THERE WAS A RECALL. HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
WHILE DRIVING WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT WORK. CAUSE UNKNOWN.*AKTHERE IS A RECALL FOR VEHICLES THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL AS CONSUMERS BUT CONSUMERS VEHICLE DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE PROBLEM CONSUEMR IS EXPERIENCING IS IDENTICAL TO THAT STATED IN THE RECALL. *JG
